That tree's actually permanently shaped like that now I think, probably after years of trains going under it. :) Only time I've ever seen the branches hang lower than that is when it rains.
I heard it blow for the crossings south of town, and then when the Auto Train went by I kept watching for the last auto carrier and checking back the other way for a sign of the other train coming. It really was good fortune to have been standing right at the spot where the end of one and the front of the other passed.
