15-5-2011 Soon a few photographs of this amazing girlband Cinderella from the early seventies!! The group started in 1969 with the name " The Sperzieboontjes " with only the 3 girls. Later on in 1970 the drummer Nico van Es fro The Hague joined the band and the name became "Cinderella". In that period it was one of the few female bands in Holland. Cinderella has one official single: " From town to town" and the rest of the songs are recorded on tape.

This was along with Skip Spence the soundtrack of the summer of 2010 for me. Loved sitting on my balcony with a cup of strong coffee and playing this, I was slightly obsessed with it for a while. Please recommend similar music!!

Its a bit heavier but try anything of Dead Meadow's first album, rocky mountain high is very nice. Ultimate Spinach's mind flowers is a great track, Uriah Heep's july morning, Rory Gallagher I'm not awake yet and if the day was any longer both great, its probably the least similar but I was also obsessed with Freddie King's version of ain't no sunshine when she's gone.

Sorry for the long list but if you have any to recommend back I'd love to hear it!

Although not completely alike, Vashti Bunyan - Train Song and Saffron - Vision Is A Lonely Word kind of invoke the same neurological circuitry in my head. They both consist of a beautiful, melancholic and cyclic melody and lovely female vocals.
