My Patrol car is an 04 Intrepid. Our Sheriff's Office has 4 and they all perform better then then Crown Vic's that we have. Out of the Impala, Intrepid, Crown Vics, and Explorers that we have, the Intrepid is by far the best. Of course I live in a small town and we don't abuse our cars as bad as some cities. But they all have been great...knock on wood.

once they redid that body package all the engine components were replaced or re designed piss poor quality on the newer body styles like that...

My 1997 Intrepid still runs just fine and has only abouts 98,000 miles on it..

(good article about Police brake fires in Dodge Intrepid), Chrysler sold a fleet of pursuit ready Intrepids to a Nashville TN USA police dept, all had brakes going up in flames! Chrysler reps just shrugged it off!
