Give them another chance, that album is amazing and it sounds 20x better live, if that is even possible.  And if you decide that you don't like it then that is fine, but don't criticize them for growing as people and artists

@baxxynufc I agree with some people who say that, but if the tunes from Humbug were pretty much same as the other records, the tunes would lose all the fun, it would be always the same thing. listen to humbug and you will learn to like it. I did that I and love it! I cook, I study, I shower, and I wake up(because it is my alarm clock tune) listening to them. You have to learn to like it. Once you like it, you'll be amazed . @mtmonteiro100 the only problem with that is, I want to like a song the first or second time I hear it. Anything after that I feel like you're just tricking yourself into liking music you just don't truly enjoy. I honestly don't like the mood set by their third album and wished it was just a tad more upbeat like their previous albums. There is nothing wrong with slower music as some of their previous music has been even slower and has still managed to amaze me.

@SilentEcho33 Yeah but these ideas are elaborated and described more in the humbug songs. The lyrics leave you in awe of Alex's true genius. Most of the starting songs were just about everyday life and themes you could relate to. It's what you don't relate to which leaves you wanting more and thinking more. I think Humbug brings this out alot better than it's predecessors the album is shrouded in alot more mystery which I believe is a brilliant way to move forward from their first albums.
