  • Them seagulls had a lotta balls flying around.Lo.

  • Next time you edit a lightning video - try,. TRY not to cut a lightning sound mid-way through, it ruins what would otherwise have been a cool video. Would have been 7/10,. but you lose 2 points for p*ss-poor editing.

    5/10

  • wat was that at 2:16 bottom right corner?

  • @monkeys8myhw twas a car i think

  • @plecmen ok now i see the car lol thnx man

  • 2:27 sucks for that bird

  • The storm which you recorded came over from northern france, in the channel it developed into a supercell briefly and dropped a small f0-1 tornado as it hit the coast near brighton. As it moved 5 or 10 miles inland it lost power and turned into a strong multicell storm. This is why there was so much lightning and continous thunder rolling.

  • Great video well good!

  • Bad storm. I enjoy it in real life.

  • Superb lightning on 2:04! How long did the storm last?

  • Well luckily I'm from the north-west of Kent in Orpington and we don't often get big thunderstorms like this.

  • @charliegaze We don't often get storms on that magnitude up here in NW Hants either. I think it's because we're situated in a valley, and they tend to go around the edge. Get one trapped in the valley, and boy do you know about it!

  • The building infront of the camera..look to the right of it and look at the tree, at 2:06 a bolt hits infront of it

  • That afternoon I'd been in Folkestone. I stood on the seafront and saw that coming and knew it was gonna be a bad one. I got back to Thanet in time and it was bad - interesting to see just how bad it was in the part of Kent that is always hit by the strongest storms from France!

  • Great vid. That continual growl of thunder was quite scary!

I made a very short video of a storm from my bedroom a couple of years back and was always surprised to freeze the frame and see pink lightning.

  • 2:06 : awesome

  • ahhhhhhh this was sooooo nice to watch... i love our uk weather.....it makes me cold to watch yet im all snuggly warmed up inside....i love the rain....

  • omg storms in folkestone r actualy amazin an i dont even like em lol

  • Very nice capture here, my friend, of the different stages of the storm's approach. Just one thing I wanted to point out, but the cloud that was closing in at about 0:35 was not a wall cloud, but rather the shelf cloud of the storm - wall clouds are essentially an "accessory" cloud that extends below the base of the shelf cloud and is indicative of a persistently active mesocyclone, which may be a precursor to a tornado.

    Again, nice video!

    ~Trav.~

  • But if he says it's a wall cloud, it's a wall cloud. It's the same thing.

  • god i live in folkestone lol i was out nd i got socked

  • 2:28 - the seagull is like ahh shit.

  • I love the sound at 2:08

    Just amazing.

Hope you make more videos of thunder.

  • dude thats very bad somebody would get soaking

    wet

  • That lightening landed in a close named Brambledown - I was staying there that night! A freind of mine lives on Eastfields and saw it too.

  • hey this is recored just down the road form me...im on St michaels street

  • Never seen anything like that in the UK before, bet it was awesome as well as p[retty scary - my son lives in Folkestone and he NEVER mention this at all!

  • wow!!! you dont often get storms like that here! but if you do want them go to kelantan in malaysia i lived there for two years we flew out when i was 2 you used to get exactly that every night for five hours! i was scared at first, but once i got used to it i watched it all the time! its amazing!

  • Thanks for taking the time to comment on this video! Funny you should say that, becca, as we had another one last night (at time of typing this) where a thunderstorm had dumped 60 mm of rain in the space of an hour! It's been a very eventful summer for storms. I can imagine Malaysia do get some really beefy ones regular, do you video any of them as I would like to see it!

  • @idj20 woah cool

  • folkestone is a ledgend town !!
