@Jew1shGod without UPnP you probably wont get an open nat. If theres no way to turn it on get a better router. They arent that expensive. Try contacting Westell for help. Email or call them.

how do you get into your upnu thingy on your computer ?

All u have to do is search cmd on your computer the command box will open, then u have to type ipconfig. After doing this theres a list of things that come up, the one your looking for is the default gateway now open a web explorer and write the number that u saw in the url then you will be accessing your modem.

From in there - yours may be different - go into a area called gaming and applications. Look around in there and you should beable to adjust your UPNP settings from in there.

i tried this, didnt work, so i tried another thing which told me to enable DMZ, that worked but cut all the connection for everything else using the same router, so i called the router company, they told me to get a firmware update, i did that, that cut all the connection on everything except my moms computer, so i reset the router to its factory defaults, now im back at square one except my xbox cant connect to XBL at all...when i test the connection it passes everything but still dont work...

@TheLosersCompany NAT is Network Address Translation. Basically Having open NAT allows connections to and from your router. Having a closed NAT means some connections arent allowed. Thus having a closed NAT or Strict NAT type.

@MrTartancam Here I think I can help. If you're still having strict nat just make a static ip address for your xbox. Then assign the proper ports to forward to that specific ip address you created for your xbox. For added reassurance all you have to do is put that ip address you created for your xbox on the dmz. That should do the trick. Thumbs up so people can see. :D
