I love the eastern school. I am soo alone in my area as I am the only bassist from the eastern school and all my peers are from the fluffy french/english school and while pretty, sound like celli instead of basso
is the pianist wearing a sweatshirt? lol. really quality bass playing, love the vibrato and the interpretation, even if its a little faster than a lot of people play it.
@Lumify That's the Russian Conservatory for you. I study with a Russian teacher in the states. He went to the same school that this is at. That's how they play.
Fabulous. Bravo. No neurotic new school conceptualizing, no weird body language. Just solid old school playing brought up to the highest level and incredible musical intuition. Love the cadences.
I think is stupid and unfair, like you do, talk bad about foreigners in italians forums, but in those internationals you are not able to say the same ethier for italians or foreigners... why do you behave like this? Answer, but clear!
Can you tell us, please, 3 names of italians bassplayers that in your opinion they suck? I tell my: Bocchini, Petracchio e Siramusa... common, give you courage and tell us your 3 names.
Puoi dirci, per favore, i nomi di 3 contrabbassisti italiani che secondo te fanno schifo? io ti dico i miei 3: Bocchini, Petracchio e Siramusa... dai, fatti coraggio a dacci i tuoi tre nomi
Has to be one of the best, if not the best double bass performance I have heard. The intonation is just impecable and the care over the timing is wonderful. At last, there is someone who lets the music breathe.
Really quite great. One of the best I have ever heard. Musicality, perhaps the most important thing in solo playing, is simply astounding. Spine-tingling in spots. Fantastic. A little too much into the string in spots, but overall the best Kouss-kouss on the Tube.
Wow. That has to be the most awesome lumberjack-manly performance of this piece I've seen. Wonderfully done. I suddenly feel compelled to go chop down a tree with my bare hands before the next time I play this.
you are incrediblleeee!!!!!

I really enjoy this one - no boring, slow tempo, warm sound, well pitched and healthy vibrato, not cow singing
Really I like it!
