The scene where everyone breaks up would've been 100 times sadder if they would've kept this scene in... they don't talk about Mark's emotions and feelings at all in the movie.. and if everyone would've known about Mark's loneliness in that scene everyone watching the movie would've burst into tears.

I love this song for two reasons:

1) It portrays Mark's character and portrays his loneliness as well as his love for his friends.

2) I love the way he sings about the coincidences that seemed too good to be true in the film: "Why did Mimi knock on Roger's door? Why did Collins use that phone booth back where Angel sat up his drums?"

I just kinda wish everyone would stop saying that Mark's character wasn't shown in the movie. I think everyone gets the point that it's disappointing, but can we just look past that? I personally think Mark appeared extremely lonely in the movie, besides a movie can only last so long because director's have a time limit and have to cut stuff out. So just be thankful that they even made a recording of it for the movie and look past everything and just enjoy it.

when they took this out of the Rent movie it really just killed Mark's character. This shows you that Mark is even starting to beleive that he is lonley. This explains so much of Mark and when I was Mark on broadway it was alot of fun but getting pushed by Roger was kinda annoying. If you guys want this song, the i guess buy it on iTunes or Rapsody. That's where I got it..

Seriously, this little song is one of the most important songs to the theme of the musical. Not to mention my favorite. I couldn't imagine Larson would have been at all okay with it being cut. I would imagine Anthony wasn't too pleased either.
