no you moron; you're confused with wheel horsepower and flywheel horsepower all cars are rated at the flywheel from the factory.. this car is underrated from the factory by about 40-50 hp for lower insurance costs.. these cars put out closer to 440 flywheel horsepower.. the GT500 is is rated more accurately.. it does actually make 500 hp AT THE FLYWHEEL....

Believe it. I'v been watching em dyno between 370/390RWHP since the late summer of 02. These cars have between 430/450hp at the crank. It makes sense though if you think that this is basically the same supercharged 4.6 DOHC that they used in the 1993 Mustang MachIII Concept which they rated at 450 crank hp.

With a pully change and tuning these motors jump from 390 to about 460hp. Mostly just a lightning pulley and a predator tune.
