Can anyone sum up what happens in perseus mandate for me? I can't be bothered buying it, I've played the first FEAR, and i just want to move onto Project Origin.
In FEAR 2 Reborn (the expansion of Project Origin) you are a Replica Soldier that hears voices that tells him not to follow Replica Orders, i started feeling curious so i checked more about it, well, the voice he hears its aparently Paxton, and this takes place while Becket is in custody by Alma (actually its the only character that doesnt dies and the ending) .... i dont know more about it, i just heard it has 4 more levels and more weapons.
I wish that fear 2 focused on the point man instead of this Michael Becket guy, I mean who cares? I would rather see what happened to the point man instead.

I played this game, i liked it, all though the ending was bitter sweet, you actually get on the chooper and alma dosen't appear, but you see your dead buddy's ghost and it made me sad because you can try and save him but either way he still dies
I actually liked the ending, for once you didn't get completely pwned by alma, you get in a helicopter and don't get blown up and the storyline actually fitted in with the events of the first game (admittedly the appearance of the nightcrawlers is slightly confusing but they still looked pretty cool.)
Didn't Extraction Point just have your character just stare at the city as it set ablaze? I'm hoping that it'll show him on the building and then he'll find a grappling hook then go down the building and that'd be F.E.A.R. 3? That'd be a nice beginning.

I Think the Sgt. in this game was part of Project Harbinger and thats where his powers come from... AND I think PM is not canon because PM-Sgt. was kind of the prototype for Sgt. Becket of Fear 2. So they just said the PM-Sgt. didnt ever exist and Becket is the New-Better-Harbinger-Mutated-Kickass-Sgt. Or what.
I liked Perseus Mandate alot...Extraction Point was good as well. I don't get what people didn't like about it. It had the same great gameplay we grew to love from the first F.E.A.R. it was basically a sidestory that didn't have to have been made but I'm glad they did....kinda shows what was going on while point man was kicking ass. Plus the whole thing with Sarge having the slow-mo power, I think that had something to do with the cloning facility, they may have cloned point man
if you recall from the first fear... they had two FEAR teams running around... you borrowed a chopper from them even... perseus mandate was from that second team's perspective. also starting from when point man (you) from the first fear, blew up the facility

no he aint, check F.E.A.R wiki (not fear ON wiki), he IS Almas son but not Beckets, Fettel got Almas power (thats why the replica soldiers follow him but not point man) but point man was another of Genevieve's surgical operations.

I played this game, i liked it, all though the ending was bitter sweet, you actually get on the chooper and alma dosen't appear, but you see your dead buddy's ghost and it made me sad because you can try and save him but either way he still dies

I actually liked the ending, for once you didn't get completely pwned by alma, you get in a helicopter and don't get blown up and the storyline actually fitted in with the events of the first game (admittedly the appearance of the nightcrawlers is slightly confusing but they still looked pretty cool.)

Didn't Extraction Point just have your character just stare at the city as it set ablaze? I'm hoping that it'll show him on the building and then he'll find a grappling hook then go down the building and that'd be F.E.A.R. 3? That'd be a nice beginning.

Project Origin is the official sequel to F.E.A.R., it simply has a different perspective.
F.E.A.R. 3 will probably focus on The Point Man again.

I Think the Sgt. in this game was part of Project Harbinger and thats where his powers come from... AND I think PM is not canon because PM-Sgt. was kind of the prototype for Sgt. Becket of Fear 2. So they just said the PM-Sgt. didnt ever exist and Becket is the New-Better-Harbinger-Mutated-Kickass-Sgt. Or what.

Actually Fear extraction point and Perseus mandate are not officially canon since they are made by different companies.
For example the events of Fear Extraction point can not happen in FEAR 2 since it's after the explosion and uses different enemies.
But since Perseus mandate is within the events of FEAR one it may be canon but most likely is not.
Fear is made by Monoloth or something like that while EP PM are made by vividi.
But yes that is the order I pose it goes in.

I liked Perseus Mandate alot...Extraction Point was good as well. I don't get what people didn't like about it. It had the same great gameplay we grew to love from the first F.E.A.R. it was basically a sidestory that didn't have to have been made but I'm glad they did....kinda shows what was going on while point man was kicking ass. Plus the whole thing with Sarge having the slow-mo power, I think that had something to do with the cloning facility, they may have cloned point man

if you recall from the first fear... they had two FEAR teams running around... you borrowed a chopper from them even... perseus mandate was from that second team's perspective. also starting from when point man (you) from the first fear, blew up the facility

Not true. Sgt Becket is just another testing subject of Genevive Aristide. The pointman is alma's son, Becket isn't.
Alma was attracted to becket because of the experiments that were done on him. he looked like her son (telepathicly) Read the intel you get in FEAR 2
