Generally if you can't hear the vocals it means you're too close to the front...the higher frequencies of the amps don't project there and you only really hear the low end. Whenever I can't hear the vocals in gigs I just move back and it's fine.
It wasnt better without hardcore fans because people in second and third row around me where...where... with there mouth close!!! Sing the in the forest louder than hell!!! clap your hands?!
Why was the concert better without the hardcore-fans? ;) But I must admit, I found some guys who sang with me -every single line- in the fourth row or something like that. :-D
Actually he was almost "not-singing" during first 2 or 3 songs... Sound was pretty good, maybe he just had to warm up a little. Anyway great performance by the whole band
No, there were definately technical problems during the first few songs. In the guitar solo of one song (can't remember which) Hansi went to the crew guy and told him to turn his volume up - this guy then raised his arm to the man who mixed the sound, pointed at Hansi and it was ok afterwards.

I was right at the back. Every time he sang above a certain level, the level on his mic dropped

Indeed. And it suits him, I think. The Prinz Eisenherz-Era is past. ;)

thank you for the great vid.
but am I the only who thinks that the sound was shit there? In the first few songs it was impossible to hear Hansi. Guitars were too loud. :(
