A lot of that during the 1960s. So how far in the past is it? As I mentioned people still benefit from such crimes through inherited wealth. DDT wiped populations of mosquitoes that in aggregate number in the millions. It was detrimental to thousands of birds and fish. From this we learned that we cannot simply spray DDT everywhere. We must direct it's use to the breeding grounds of mosquitoes. I don't like the term collateral damage but I'd rather lose some fish and birds than a comparable number of humans. Your preferred collateral damage, from not using DDT, is not acceptable.
Again: the breeding grounds we sprayed with DDT all came back with the immunity those mosquitos developed.

Colonialism happened in a far different time when normal was a drastic difference from today's standards. Apologize for slavery? I never owned a slave, so it's not my problem if my great great grandfather, owned one. A lot of that during the 1960s. So how far in the past is it? As I mentioned people still benefit from such crimes through inherited wealth. Passing down wealth from one generation to the next is one of the foundation pillars of our system. You take away that inheritance you take away a lot.

In a world with billions of lives at risk because countries like the US are responsible for 25% of fossil fuels and only 5% of the population, maybe saving the environment a little wouldn't hurt us. Increased tax _revenue_ was the expected outcome of lowering _rates_.
You can spin this however you please, but the more astute readers understand that you haven't a clue what you are talking about.
By lowering tax rates more money remained in the economic system doing productive work. This led to an increased number of taxable transactions. Each tax taking was smaller but there were proportionally more instances to take tax leading to more revenue.

Given the fact that Reagan wasn't allowed a line item veto by the Democrat-controlled congress, the "flush" of new tax revenues by created by Reagan's tax cuts allowed said congress to grow said government, not Reagan. Remember, it is congress that controls the purse strings, not the President.
In fact, quite few economists cite Clinton administration as having rode the "economic wave" created by Reagan tax policies.

Then highlights how overuse had unintended consequences that are the inevitable outcome for the liberal spraying programs that were at one time common. Completely banning it's use also had unintended consequences. Humans died instead of mosquitoes and other parasites.

DDT wiped populations of mosquitoes that in aggregate number in the millions. It was detrimental to thousands of birds and fish. From this we learned that we cannot simply spray DDT everywhere. We must direct it's use to the breeding grounds of mosquitoes. I don't like the term collateral damage but I'd rather lose some fish and birds than a comparable number of humans. Your preferred collateral damage, from not using DDT, is not acceptable.

How trite of you to purposely misinterpret my words. Unless you are saying that DDT was never banned anywhere. The locales it was banned in, completely, have seen untoward consequences. That you would cheer loss of human life over loss of mosquito life and a few fish and birds is repugnant at best.

The primary concern of the Left is to show everyone else how compassionate they are. That they care more than the rest of us. The actual results or truths mean noting to them.
Take the Hoolywood Left for example.They will go to a rally or do a commercial for something like AIDS or sickle cell, but they won't forfeit their salary from a movie they make about it.

One of the largest employers (CAR INDUSTRY) sent their jobs overseas which was allowed by republicans and blue dog democrats. It wasnt due to welfare Mr Klavan. If 10,000 jobs left in a year it isnt due to welfare its due to the fact that they were sent over seas. Conservatives are trying to steal and re write history as if they have been on the side of minorities all along and they havent. They are against social policy whether it works or not because they have been told that minorities (mainly blacks) have stolen their money and their wealth. Inner city schools were garabage before blacks went to them. There are not whole generation of blacks dependent on government (that is the most racist meme coming from conservatives). Do you know that most blacks arent poor and have it way better than the previous generation did. Inner cities and their schools weren't always garbage b/c my parents went to inner cities schools back in the days when they didn't suck. I know the situation for middle class blacks.
