Why is Australia in the Asian Football Confederation and not the Oceania Football Confederation?

@nabilion Surely Oceanic soccer needs more improvement than Asian. Without Australia, the only two countries with more than a million people are New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. New Zealand is rugby mad and the other is, well, Papua New Guinea! In fact, the combined population of all the countries in the Oceania Football Confederation is less than the population of Shanghai. Qualification for the World Cup would be pretty much guaranteed if Australia stayed put.

@punchthedog haha well australia is needed in asia to keep soccer in general going forward. New zealand, after the world cup is pretty much as good as australia. As for easier qualifying to raise the profile of soccer here you need to versing the best and tonga isn't actually good for crowds here.
