Hi,I want to buy some of this for a project but object is curved.Do you know when i pour it on will it stay on okay or mainly drip off?Cheers for any help :)
It will likely drip off depending on how steep the curve is. You'll get a thin layer at the top with thicker concentrations around the edges... I'm not sure what the best solution would be. If it's a subtle curve it'll probably be okay, or you could build some sort of frame to stop the resin from dripping off and have more that will stay on the surface. Whatever you build will be stuck to the resin and have to be torn off and sanded to provide a nice finish. Good luck!
Actually so you know, pretty much anything you put on your skin goes through it. In other words don't put anything on your skin you wouldn't put in your body.
I don't have very much experience with resin and I don't know chemically what the difference is between them. I've used "CastinCraft" brand clear resin for molds and it worked fine - but I can't honestly tell you what would happen if you used it as a final varnish.
I like the 2 part resin because the mixing is very simple - it's a 1:1 ratio of parts. The casting resins uses drops of catalyst and it won't set properly if you use too much or too little.
