Hello. My name is Greg and I was a student at the Iowa Braille School back in 1993. I was 11 years old and I attended to the summer camp held there. Looking back on these videos they have changed quite a bit, technolgy has progressed and just wanted to say thanks to the teachers and staff for being so good to those children.
It's nice to hear from you. Isn't it a wonderful school? We are so thankful to be able to send our child to something like this where he can meet with other children who face the same challenges.
Yes it was. I can remember lots of great things we did back then I was only 11 years old but I can still remember student names, places we visited, I remember even going to the water hawks that year and it was great. Kids with blindness today have a higher potential then back then because technolgy has increased since then and I'm amazed on what they have today.
You know I remember going down into those tunnels to get from Rice hall to Palmer hall for daily living skills class. I use to run as fast as I could from one end of the tunnel to the other because I got scarred walking down there (laughs).

I'm so glad you have wonderful memories of the school. Did you ever travel through those underground tunnels? Did they have Woody's Cave then?
Would you believe that they still have the same bowling alley in the snack room?
Last year, they had a panel of low vision and blind people to answer questions for the parents and it was very interesting.

I just saw your Youtube videos and I'll bet a lot of the former Braille students (and teachers) would enjoy seeing those.
