A black box theatre at a university where there's so many people they have to sit on the floor? THAT'S how it's done. Showing that dreamy dreams can come true.
Lin, You are such an inspiration and am amazing artist. I hope you keep writing and performing forever. You are something very special my friend. Hope to meet you someday.=)
@usnavi hactually, the Patricelli '92 Theater was originally called Rich Hall and was the University's first stand-alone library building, and its construction was completed in 1868. In 1930, after construction was completed on the new Olin Library, the class of 1892 donated money to have Rich Hall converted into a theater, which is why it is the '92. I think you went to Wes a few years before the "Patricelli" was tacked on as a result of another donation. And here ends the Weshistory. -2ndstage
Dear Lin, I hope you realize that, for us In The Heights lovers, this footage is more precious than any gold or diamonds you can find on earth - THANK YOU, again! :D
@MakeupByLaurenP Universal dropped plans to make the movie. Some sources claimed it was because most bankable latino stars weren't interested in participating in small roles. The silver lining being that let's face it many latin movie stars today don't have the chops to bring this show to life, and when the movie does get made, it will hopefully get made with truly talented people.
I went to CCY at Wesleyan last year and everyday we had class in the '92 Theatre :O

Wait, the title says 2000, but the description box says '92. Explain?
supersingerevan 10 months ago
@supersingerevan The '92 is the NAME of the theater. It was built in 1892. The year is 2000.
usnavi 10 months ago 6
@usnavi Ok, that makes sense! I figured you didn't start writing In the Heights when you were 12.
