  • I saw this film today and this I love it..... great story and epic end.. :-)

  • Did they yank out both IVs or just the one in his right arm? Because the second drug was going into his left arm.

  • @Goldenrod636 both

  • 6:39, is that Bill O'Reilly???

  • Anyway, there should be present quick medical help for cases like this.

  • @Hawdyerwheesht Kenny Burrell - The Little Drummerboy

  • Clint Eastwood is real genius. Well, I can't say True Crime was my favorite Eastwood's film in the 90's. I love In the Line of Fire, The Rookie and Absolute Power the most but this film was very touching. Clint never disappoints me. He makes Real movies. Other actors/actresses did a great job too

  • What is the last song?

  • Its a shame the movie wasnt the same as the book, book was more exciting and kept you on edge and in the book Frank was white so the original story has nothing to do with discrimination.

  • average movie. but nice screenplay, and great acing from woods and eastwood.

  • Race discrimination WTF.

  • just because the person being executed is black means its discrimination?

  • You do know that more whites are executed than blacks right?

  • could someone upload the whole movie please

  • LOVE this movie....tear jerker for sure! especially when he has to make his wife and kid leave before the execution and when the warden yanks the iv out and his wife is frantically beating on the window. and of course you gotta love clint eastwood throughout the movie....four thumbs up!!!!

  • in the last scene...what is the soundtrack?

  • "Vienna Boys Choir - Little Drummer Boy" Try writing this in the search box... =))

  • thanks...

  • @yckss17 ..diana krall.....why should i care....co-written by mr. eastwood.....nice one

  • i don't hate the death penalty.because would you want killers on the street? and a guy got the death penalty for killing my friend. he deserved it >:)

  • On the streets? If they get life in prison they are not on the streets, you are full of shit.

  • life is prisonment is punishment enothe

  • OK Chaucer

  • whats that?

  • The man solely responsible for the creation of the English language as a respectable language and how the hell do you not know who Chaucer is?

  • @Lazyguy22 - I wouldn't exactly call the Miller's Tale "respectable" More so than "The Ancrene Wisse"or "Piers Plowman" or "Gawain and the Green Knight" ?

Or going back further,"Caedmon's Hymn" or "Beowulf" ?

  • I'm not on about literary criticism. I'm on about contemporary views.

But whatever you keep on posturing.

  • Why is that such a bad thing?

  • Because he's an important part of the English Language's history, and therefore YOUR history.

  • doeas anyone still know the dialogue between clint eastwood and his boss about the wives he's been slepping with?? very funny...

  • he could have just run because they strapedhim to the lethal injection table.why didn't he?

  • first injection is a anesthetic to knock you out but sadly its true he would not servive they give it to you in a lethel 2.5 gram dose the 2ed drug paralyze the muscle's including those that control breathing the 3rd stops the heart

    3 drugs used

    1 Sodium thiopental 2.5 grams

    2 Pancuronium bromide 100 milligrams

    3 Potassium chloride 100 milliquivalents

all 3 are in lethal dose's

  • He wouldn't survive if they didn't give him help right away, which they did.

  • I didn't think the Sodium Thiopental was a lethal dose... they've found instances where there wasn't even a large enough concentration of the drug in the inmate's blood to keep them unconscious as the other two drugs took effect.

  • just trying to finish up my comment and final thoughts on this great movie with the end song "what more could i have done?"------what more can u do than save a man's life?? i mean, that's pretty good, isn't it? shd take him out for lobster thermidor with all the trimmings any day of the week even on on short notice. even if he had to wash dishes.

  • what does it matter which injection shd have kiiled him and which one was supposed to tranquile him and which one was supposed to give him a heart attack , etc?? what difference does it make?? this was an excellenet movie with about as heartfelt and gut wrenching and as dramatic ending as u could possibly have asked for. esp the moment when the ex-con wasves hello & thx 4 saving my life to clint in the shopping mall. ld i have done,INDEEDDwhats amuto

  • If you noticed, this isn't the San Quentin Death Chamber because A) It's Candy-Apple Green and B) They don't use a lethal injection machine.

  • Correct, this was filmed on a sound stage on the Oakland docks.

  • question so when they give u the second dose does it strangle u before u have a heart attack

  • The second dose paralyzez the body and sometimes, they do strangle you, but it happens rarely. It usually just paralyzes every single muscle. It's the third that will kill you. The third makes your heart stop beating.

  • In reality the first two doses of chemical are of a lethal amount, so there's very little chance that man could have survived that.

    Down With The Death Penalty!

  • They gave him the first injection did they not, so why isn't he dead? I thought that you were dead within the first injection?

  • Wrong. The first drug only knocks him out as it is an anesthetic that puts him in such a deep sleep that it frees him from pain. If he was kept like that for such a long period, he would have been dead but they revived him at the hospital. The second drug which he didn't get enough of to cause an effect paralyzes his muscles (which includes his lungs) to stop him from breathing. The third drug gives him a heart attack.

  • Really good movie, kinda got lost in the shuffle. Actually better than Mystic River, which was so grim I could hardly get thru it.

  • I like the way that Clint drove to get there in time before the execution was finished.

  • That´s a very nice movie. Death Penalty IS one of the true crimes. The question "Was there something more I could have done?" (sung in the end), labelled this topic as no other phrase!
