You have just been traumatised by this event and are scared its going to happen again, if this event took place 5 years ago you should try and forget about it and tell yourself its very unlikely to happen again. This is one of they 'shit happens' moments, at least if it does happen again you will not be quite as scared - 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger' etc :) xx

i think this problem started when we were little and were trick-or-treating and some guy jumped out of the bushes and chased us. it was super creepy. and now we can't go past bushes at night without the fear of some psycho jumping out of the bushes and attacking us
Actually it's phobia of being home alone at night, not paranoia. Read up on paranoia on wikipedia, it explains the difference.
Other then that, great that you are so open with your phobia. If it's really annoying/frightening, then know that it is not for life. Phobias can be cured really quickly, like with 5 minutes, when done right. There is material about that on the net too ;)
I feel really paranoid when I'm around people. As a young kid, whenever I was bad i was put into a small box and locked in the closet. I still feel the insects crawling all over me, bitting me.
I have a fear of people, if i am in a crowded room, i will become violent or break down.

It's nice to see you! This night I got very afraid when I heard noises that had to come from inside the apartment, no doubt about it. Normally at about 5 am, there should be absolutely quiet. I was about to check what it was when I understood that the clock was 12 midnight. I had mistaken the time after having fallen too sleep too early on the evening. The noises came from a household member getting ready for bed.

the #1 thing for me is bugs! my body literally shuts down whenever i get a tick in my head. i will not be able to sleep for days lol its really sad.The bug thing probally startd when it was sping in 5th grade(not a fun time). im a guy and i get paranoid when im home alone all the time. suddenly ghosts can possibly exist and murderers and other sick ppl might try to storm my house. thus i sometimes have a knife at my side....that can kill ghosts too.
also i close the door when looking into my bathroom mirror. cause it mirrors the hallway and if i see someone walk by when NO ONE ELSE is home...id crap myself.

i feel the same way, because my house was broken multiple times. i wasnt home, they broke into my grandmothers house and stole her retirement money. then like a year later, when she was home, they thre a rock through her bedroom window. im not really affected that much by it, but she is/was. she was so paranoid to the point where she moved away.

Once I was home alone with my friend, and it was raining outside, and we heard my door opened downstairs, and we were freaking out. We locked ourselves in the bathroom with a phone ready to call 911. It turned out it was just my dad.. :P

I used to be like that when i first got to college, but after living alone in a run down studio in an apartment in one of the worst neighborhoods i've ever been in for four years, i got used to it after about a month. you should keep around a cell phone like someone else just said and also maybe a bat in your room. i still have a metal pipe in my car trunk.
P.S. this just aside, Jordyn you look a lot prettier than your first video way back when.

I'm about to be 18 later this year and I'm scared of ghost probably one of the stupidest things to be scared of. I really wasn't scared of them but I did believe in them before my family moved here. Now there are day's where i literally (if you spell it like that) freeze at night because I feel like if someone is next to me. Many creepy things have happened to me in my room, I would type more but there is not a lot of space. But yes I am very scared of ghost lol.

its okay to be scared of ghosts, i used to be scared of paranormal, but then i found out that i was PART OF paranormal, i get signs and visions and more things that will happen in the future. i was pretty freaked out and im only 14. but i know how to control ghosts and get rid of them, and i can perform wicka(witch craft) to get rid of ghosts in peoples houses. i know how you feel. do you watch a haunting on discovery channel? is that where you get this information about ghosts?

im 17, and after being burgled just after my 9th birthday i cant stay home alone.
i can stay in if its light outside, but i lock myself in the living room and im always so on edge.
and there's NO WAY i'd stay in alon when it's dark at night. i remember there was one time my mum went out and i only had to be in alone 30 mins 'till my friend got to my house, but it was dark outside and i was absoloutly terrified, i sat shaking and almost crying!

I'm beyond terrified of being anywhere alone. When I was in 6th grade I went to the pet store with my mom. She asked me to go get her cell in the car and as I was walking out (there is a door for coming in and going out separated by a glass wall) this man in all black, really big too was trying to open the door I was coming out of. I ran back in but I've been terrified of being out alone, or being home alone. Every small sound I get paranoid over. I'm 17 in 3 months and this happened at 11.

I was babysitting once and a guy all dressed in black rang the doorbell over and over again and then he went to the window and looked in. I was upstairs giving the little girl a bath and I couldn't go get a phone cause he would've seen me and i didn't have my cell phone. it was really really scary! he did go away after a while, but it was FREAKY

It's nice to see you! This night I got very afraid when I heard noises that had to come from inside the apartment, no doubt about it. Normally at about 5 am, there should be absolutely quiet. I was about to check what it was when I understood that the clock was 12 midnight. I had mistaken the time after having fallen too sleep too early on the evening. The noises came from a household member getting ready for bed.

im also paranoid of being home alone im 15. im not like SUPER scared but i get paranoid. like 2 or 3 years ago i was home alone and it was late like probably 10 or 11 at night, and the phone rang so i awnserd it and this old women in a really creepy voice started talking like the grudge so hung up and was scared so i just sat and watched t.v and around 11:30ish somone started knocking on the door and i couldnt see them and when i asked who it was they kept knocking louder and didnt awnser :S

finally i was able to see out the freaking window and it was some creepy old guy with a Metal like clothing hanger like you know those metal ones that you could totally cut somebody with, well yea he was holding it in his hand... he left after a few minutes but holy sh*t it scared me so bad! i still love being home alone but i need the t.v on and all the lights on if its at night like no matter what time of day the tv needs to be on cause the silence just makes me paranoid of stuff
