By far the most accurate instrumental recreation of the acoustic covers i've seen. I'm not necessarily big on exact copies in covers, but the original is very thinly scored, and strumming chords isn't true to the feel i expect from this song.

chords+singing=easy, picking + singing = epic

unless youve played this kind of music/particular song to the point where you can do it with your eyes closed whilst maintaining a normal conversation at the same time then its going to be a stretch to do it flawlessley, put the same guy singing this next to somone playing this on the guitar and I bet you'd get your flawless singing

Holding the guitar on your left leg emulates the position that your guitar will be in when you have a strap and you are standing. It allows for better access to the frets and a more ergonomic position of your arms. This is how classical guitar is played, but it's great for whatever kind of guitar style.

The other difference is, you have to have your left leg elevated by means of a stand, or something of similar size, like an encyclopedia volume :-D
