I am with the Boyle Heights Paranormal Project, and have had a listen to this, and have been there to downey, I can say that there is an active community of spirits there and after spending the night there and taken pics I know its a creepy place, go to Facebook and go to our page...check out the pics...

All I hear is a very tiny "Hello!" It's slightly muffled and short, but I can't find any other words to be looking for. Everything simply sounds like background noise aside from that single word. When you say the evp is stretched, what exactly does that mean?
This evp was captured with an old analog tape recorder and the noise level was very high and hard to clean. I have done everything I can do to clean it.
Digital IC recorders are the best way to pick up EVPs. They generate there own inaudible noise during the recording. Ghost use white noise to speak through sometimes so white noise on top of white noise you don't hear washes out the EVPs on tape. Digital recordings can be cleaned up much better.
Why is there so much background noise to beging with? Were you guys by a freeway? Doesn't sound like a very high quality recording device...no reason you should have that much background noise.
Microcassette recorder with no external mic. No it wasn't the best. I wanted to present it in it's raw form so it's kinda loud. I had the earphones around the olympus when I transferd it and played it on adobe audition 2.0

the numbers being read are my team members reading their equipment that was going off.
EMF went to 5.7 and the temp dropped down to 53 degress.

It would be nicer if you all can clean up some of that noise..I wasnt expecting it to be so loud and it hurt my ears really bad.

why are people still using analog recorders?
Digital recorders are very affordable these days.
You can even get a cheapo mp3 player that records digital audio.

sounds like a good evp, unfortuante about the quality of recording though. The child spirit's evp seems to be repating the "whoa".

This EVP was captured at Downey cemetery after midnight on a RadioShack Microcassette recorder with no external mic.
It was played and recorded on a Olympus DVR. Then played on Adobe Audition 2.0
