Wrong; Marilyn was murdered by some government agency so she would not spill the beans about having sex with the Kennedy bothers. Change overdose to murder please. RIP Marlyn, the truth will come out some day.
again you did a wonderful job and i hope you knowmany of us appreciate the effort and hard work it took-You should be proud and focus on all of the positive comments as you clearly staed that there were errors. Looking at the photos of all of these people brought back memories of watching old movies with my grandparents-they gave me such a love for the golden era of Hollywood.
On alot of these they always say Elvis died of heart attack, it was actually ruled drug overdosed. I mean if you wanna get technical you wrote overdosed for another so why not Elvis? Also Steve McQueen I believe died from cancer, not heart attack
@MMAfighter521 I'm just going on what IMDB, plus I made this when I was 16, that's like 4 years ago. Steve McQueen did have cancer at the time, but apparently what killed him was a heart attack.
You did a good job; but I know it's easy to forget people. Restricting the list to Hollywood, I would add: Anissa Jones (from the TV show "Family Affair", who I believe OD'd at 19); Freddie Prinze ("Chico & the Man"), and 1930's actresses Sidney Fox (suicide); Peg Entwistle (jumped to her death from the letter "H" in the "Hollywoodland" (later "Hollywood") sign); Gwili Andre, and Peggy Shannon. Also the dancer Isadora Duncan, who died when her long scarf was entangled in the wheel of a car.
Makes one realize just how fragile life is - even for the famous. So many acting geniuses and performers have died at such a young age but all of them have left their own legacies. Many thanks for posting this.
I enjoyed the vid and I know you said not to comment on errors but I feel I must point out to viewers the photo of John Barrymore is in fact George Raft. Nicely put together otherwise.
Great video! Something that I needed to learn. I did not know how some of the stars had died. May they all RIP. Thank you for this video. I hope to see more videos like this. Thank you!!
@irish89055 i was 16 when i made this, just starting out. i worked somethings out wrong, and i apologised for that in the info. the fact is the feeling is there, just a tribute to their memory. and most people seem to like it, even when they point out the errors. youre a wanker.
Interesting little factoid which I only learned recently.Jayne Mansfield was the mother of Mariska Hargetay,of Law & Order SVU fame! Apologies if I've mis-spelt her name!
Great job with one small correction...the picture that you have for John Barrymore is actually the picture of George Raft. John Barrymore usually wore a thin mustache, both men were equally handsome.
great tribute, but I don't understand much why Vivien Leigh and Clara bow's death are considered tragic. They died from illness and not quite young. Clara Bow was mostly forgotten when she died, her career had stopped 30 years earlier, so I think that Peg Entwistle, Florence Lawrence, Marie Prevost, Lou Tellegen, Mary Nolan, Thelma Todd or Veda Ann Borg were more concerned about tragedies that those ones.
I remember when Steve McQueen died - I heard the news on the radio one night and it really hurt - I was so upset. It just seemed so wrong that someone who had such a strong image could die so young. Ironically, they showed The Towering Inferno at Christmas a few months later and, when he showed up as the Head of the Fire Brigade, I thought - Great! Everyone will be safe now because he's here! That was the effect he had on people - you would put your faith in him.
Powerpoint presentation. Why don't people stop posting these? You click on it thinking you're going to see a documentary video, and you see a slide show with music. It's an anoying waste of time.
Dude -- young or not IS NO EXCUSE-- if you can take the time to try to excuse yourself for youth then you could have taken the same amount of time or less TO CORRECT YOUR ERRORS!!!
i would add Carmen Miranda, 46 who died from a second heart attack, following one the same day incurred while taping a broadcast with Jimmy Durante. apparently she didn't realize it was a heart attack and invited friends over to her house the same evening. she was singing, laughing and dancing, then went upstairs and collapsed. none of the guests knew what happened and just thought she went to bed. they stayed downstairs and continued to enjoy themselves. they only found out the next day.
Leslie Howard was a war spy. Quite a controversy over his death. They thought his plane was deliberately shot down but others say the plane was accidentally targeted. Either way, there is no debate that he was a spy for our side. I was amazed...who knew?
@blkchk also there were others on that flight that may have been targeted. A real morass, that one. Leslie Howard was a bad loss, he was a great actor and a very decent man.
@MultiJames2000 you should really read the video description before you comment. It clearly says to those who died tragically young OR in a tragic accident later in life.
@daFattylover because the video is about tragic deaths. bogart 's death was not "tragic" as in he had been ill for a while and nearing 60. yes argue that Clara Bow was 60, but she died of a heart attack which was sudden and unexpected.
@sherly54 Neither of those women were Hollywood legends in the same sense these people were. Tragic but you can't compare. And why bring race into this?
@MizzVP1987 You can't be sure of that..plus that she tried to kill herself before because she was feeling like she's going to crush but she was always found and saved, that night, when she died, she locked the door..but she tried to call for help in her last minutes like she did before..but it was too late.
MM was simply trying to get to sleep. If you routinely take many pills to go to sleep, just one extra pill may do the trick. Conspiracies are extremely had to keep secret and are always uncovered in pretty short order. Sometimes a sunbonnet is really just a sunbonnet.
MM was simply trying to get to sleep. If you routinely take many pills to go to sleep, just one extra pill may do the trick. Conspiracies are extremely had to keep secret and are always uncovered in pretty short order. Sometimes a sunbonnet is really just a sunbonnet.
Nice job, very, great editing, but boy what a sad video.
I believe Pier Angeli is considered a suicide.
@MizzVP1987 Not to defend the kennedys, but it is as believeable that Ms Monroe just took an overdose in error as the Kennedy boys killed her, she was a huge drug addict and alcoholic along with some other things. On the other hand is is not so for fetched to believe they killed her is it? lol
I'm sick of all the blather about Marilyn being murdered. All of the conspiricies about her murder are half baked at best and the authors who write books `exposing the conspiraciwes' are simply taking advabntage of peopes need to believe her death was not an accidenatl overdose or suicide. They rely on sketchy evidence and unrelizable witnesses. It also bothers me that people have no grasp of her psyche and that they have an even less factual understanding of the Kennedys.
@joedimaggiosgirl okay, no murder, she was a drug addicted whore who either just stupidly over dosed by mistake or did the arts and kennedy wive's a favor and committed suicide.
There now we agree?
Is this really important to you? This was a very nicely done video and very much appreciated, by some of us.
I did not call Marilyn Monroe a drug addicted whore, those are youir choice of words. My post is not hostile towards you or towards Marilyn. To say she was deeply troubled is not an attack on her character or morals as one has nothing to do with the other. To say authors make money by feeding into conspiracy theories that are easily disproved is not an attack on her, bt an attack on those authors who are making money off of fantasy, perpertrating gossip rather than truth.
@joedimaggiosgirl My point was that your feelings do not mean anything here, they have nothing to do with this video, you just wanted to vent and you still need to, I guess, so go right ahead.
@addiefleur and one more thing, I already complimented the author for putting together a wonderful video and defended the author from those who are nit picking.Had you bothered to read further you would have known that. I have no idea where your hostility towards me is coming from but again, theres' no need for you to say I think she's a drug addicted whore just because I don't agree with conspiracy theories. Life's too shiort for such anger so oet's move on. Thnak you.
Very nicely done. Just a minor comment, you say these are tragic deaths, that usually means sudden and unexpected, you might consider just listing the ones that didn't die from a drawn out illness such as coronary disease or cancer. Just a thought.
I'm just wondering if Gene Hackman still alive? he's a great actor also, one of my favorites.he always make a film full of action.I hope he's still alive.
Rudolph Valentino died from Peritonitis which is the inflamation of the lining of the stomach. Steve McQueen died of cancer rather than a heart attack.
What is a tragic death? That's a subjective but i guess we can't , mostly, name dead caused by cancer or heart attack in the age well over 60 tragic ones. No one lives forever
You have George Raft's picture under John Barrymore's Title. Also, missing, Clark Gable, John Garfield, Tyrone Power, Francis Farmer, Barbara LaMarre, Ramon Navarro, Fatty Arbuckle, Tom Ince, William Desmond Taylor, Errol, Alfalfa Schwietzer, Erroll Flynn, all of the silent/early/Golden Era
this was beautiful and very sad. nice of you to make a tribute to them. :)
wish you'd included my favorite actor, though, dwight frye. he was only the lead once, but he was wonderfully talented, and a great person, too. thanks very much for this tribute. such a treat for me. i loved old movies, and stars of hollywood's 'golden era.' :)
How could you not include the beautiful SHARON TATE who was on her way to stardom. You included stars past her era and also some who lived at the same time period she did.
I think you have done a beautiful and respectful job here. Thank You. I understand why people might have felt the need to correct some of the possible mistakes but, with the odd exception, I think such issues could have been raised with a little sensitivity and a lot more in the way of good manners.
Oh dear, I am so soory to hear about your gross lack of brain cells SuperBrianm, shame there is no cure, poor you, but the one redeeming feature of your affliction is that you will never be intelligent enough to notice. Every cloud!
Nicely done! Three others I would include would be Dorothy Dell who died in 1934 at age 19,(car crash),Russ Columbo, also in 1934 at age 26,( from an accidental shooting), and lovely Lyda Roberti in 1938 from a heart attack at age 32.
I did some checking on that and although he did have incurable cancer, he suffered a heart attack after undergoing surgery to remove a tumor. So I was only half right.

One day the truth will come put. But why so many obvious lies?
I.E. the dr and housekeeper waited 4 hrs to call paramedics.
They never did find 50 pills in her stomach. Marilyn's problems with swallowing pills.
Her intestines weren't yellow from barbituates.
There was no glass or cup to swallow the pills.

You have George Raft's picture under John Barrymore's Title. Also, missing, Clark Gable, John Garfield, Tyrone Power, Francis Farmer, Barbara LaMarre, Ramon Navarro, Fatty Arbuckle, Tom Ince, William Desmond Taylor, Errol, Alfalfa Schwietzer, Erroll Flynn, all of the silent/early/Golden Era

I did some checking on that and although he did have incurable cancer, he suffered a heart attack after undergoing surgery to remove a tumor. So I was only half right.
