This is a very good rendition of Shirley's signature song. Sanna is great on the keys and is not too bad on the vocals. The other cats are swingin too. :)

Sanna sounds great on the piano but it sounds to me she often sings off key.

Yes I agree, but this seems to be normal with Dutch singers most of them are not very strong performers.

I agree with mattotten, nicksmith2007 and 6stringmonster. I really loved and still love Shirley Horn's version. It was her song, especially with Johnny Mandel's arrangements. So please give Sanna van Vliet the respect she is giving Shirley Horn, folks.

There's only one Shirly Horn, but I like this, very well done.

While I will applaud any tribute to Shirley Horn, this one comes up short. Shirley's version was wonderful - full of emotion and yearning - she *earned* the right to "toast to life" and you could feel it in her voice. This version is just flat -little emotion. The video quality may have contributed to this.
