i dont think he's necessarily being fake as his accent change happens to me too. i was born and lived briefly in the states, but i largely grew up in Nigeria and london. i now like in the states but sometimes i change like he does, often unconsciously. when im with my family, i largely speak with a nigerian diction but at school and at work, i speak like a normal chicagoan. similarly, when i visit family in the UK, a british accent comes out too. its weird i know haha :)

@lucille7777 It seems to me he is just bouncing off lorraine's scottish accent, he always says when he talks to scotish people his natural scotish accent makes an appearance.

@Lucille777 and @NottheSilentType: John has also said that when he talks about his family or relates to his family in any way he reverts to the Scots accent. Plus, the show was in Glasgow and he tells the story on Loose Women from a couple of months ago about the fact that he did a lot of that particular concert in "scottish" because he was at home in Glasgow.

What? His locks are very thick and wavy (at least wavy when he was younger) and so they have to use gel to get that separate and slick look. . .
