it depends....if your using the stock batterie and stock charger then it'll take around 15 minutes i think and if you have the 180 mah lipo with lipo wall charger it takes more towards an hour i think (i haven't timed it yet) a different charger may help with time for the lpo but you cant quick charge a lipo

it all depends on what you want to do. check the traxxas website for a sweet vid about the ultimate off road Jato. its pretty sweet. im almost done going something like that to my VXL Rustler. ive also got nitro 4 tec 3.3 and its insanely fast. the revo on the other hand is awesome. its all around a great truck. again it all boils down to what you want to do. But i personally would take the platinum revo over a jato. lol thats just me tho.

they all have the same batterys, motor, and esc. the only thing that would make one faster than the others is the wieght difference. so the differences would be very minimal.

i agree with the battery, it would be great if lipo was standard. but im not so sure of aluminum, the plastice parts have held up for me sept for the spur gear and iver that, it was my fualt for not settting the proper gear mesh.

both very good little trucks, the desert truck is slightly larger, had in my opinion better wheel (they wont wear out as fast)and i like the front bumper. but the micro-t would be more nimble...so its up to yu. id probs go with the desert.
