  • This guy is awesome lol

  • Thanks for sharing your knowledge, is that just any aluminum rod like those that are sold at TSC?

Prob the most informative Video I've seen on Youtube. Thanks again

  • thanks man for info,i pay fortune the local workshop to weld my aluminium....

  • To purchase this item, please look at EBAY item #260301361256.

  • Great stuff but he maybe forgot about the oil seal on the prop shaft being cooked.

  • Heating that far down on the skeg will not cook the seal. If you are concerned about burning the seal, then remove the seal.

  • I didn't understand one word he said

  • That is odd? I understand what he is saying.

Maybe you don't understand shop-talk or the words/terms used and this is your issue?

The jest of it is, you must heat the base metal (aluminum) to the melting point of the repair rod, in order for the rod material to "flow" onto the part being repaired.

  • Very informative. I am going to repair a cracked tow eye mount and a crack in the transom in my aluminum boat and this video has helped me see exactly what I have to do. Thank You.
