@Immabfree C'mon. I think as fans, we need to stop expecting Brandy to downgrade, or repeat herself musically. Brandy can't recreate Never Say Never, Full Moon, or Afrodisiac. We shouldn't expect her to sound like she did in her brokenhearted days. She's a grown woman now who has lived and experienced life. Those albums are set in stone, and we shouldn't have her recreate those albums. We should be pushing for Brandy to keep improving herself, changing her style, being more versatile musically.

She felt that Rodney was focusing more on the production and sound effects in her songs, rather than them working as a team, so she left him, found new producers, a new sound, and a new image. This is how the Afrodisiac era came to be. Fresh sound, fresh look, and Brandy was trying new things like dancing, new hair color, etc...

It is hilarious that I put two and two together a long time ago that people basically co-opted the sound of Brandy's producers (along with T-Pain and Lil Jon) and have created this tidal storm of rhythm & pop and blew up while Brandy has struggled to regain a foothold on the charts... notice Brandy incorporates little if any vocal enhancement (AKA Auto-Tune) in her music.... just sayin.
