Completion of those pipelines will take a long time. Russian pipeline projects cost 3 times more than the West, and Russia's dwindling oil and gas revenue is barely able to keep their economy afloat. Russia has to live with Ukraine pipeline routes, for at least 10 years, by then alternative energy systems would have been discovered by the US and Europe.
