  • Developed by Lorenzo Music? That's the voice of Garfield The Cat!

  • @truthaintpretty One and the same. Also voice of Carlton The Doorman.

  • Rhoda gettin' funky in this version!

  • Love Valerie Harper. Always. And Sandy Duncan, too!

  • The drummer owns on this version...

  • Yes the season 4 revamp was not good. The old coot boss was neither funny or charming. Brenda's boyfriend was one note and a sour one to begin with. Another bad revamp. But the show's ratings remained quite strong. Season 5 was wonderful with lots of Nancy Walker and Harold Gould and of course, had terrible ratings and the show was cancelled at mid season. Never over-estimate the taste of the viewing audience.

  • @ivegotalongdong NO really, tell how you really FUCKING feel.

  • Developed by David Davis and Lorenzo Music? Of GARFIELD?

  • They just finished running season 4 on ALN (American Life TV) and i have to say it's the worst of the series. Rhoda was divorced & working in some costume place, Ida & Marty are separated & Brenda has some bozo as a BF, gee what happened to the good ole Rhoda? Also, what was going on with her make-up in this season? She looked so ghostly, and that perm was so horrible!

  • I agree with you big Valerie Harper fan,I will buy all of Rhoda but the job in the custome hire shop was a bad idea, giving her a Lou Grant style boss, bad too.

I really like don't like Brenda's boyfriend either, least we have Ida back but where's all the funny characters like Susie and Myrna?

  • @Anaidvideo Yes season4 wasn't as good as the other seasons,Rhoda seemed to lose a lot of her girlfriends and have a large amount of men in the cast, some like the boring Benny, unfunny.

  • @Anaidvideo I have to agree!

  • where is the saxophone version???

  • @kduideo You have an excellent point. The is NOT the season 5 version at all. Season 5 had a saxophone arrangement.

  • Wasn't there an opening where Rhoda throws her hat in the air like Mary does in her openings, but Rhoda's hat hits the ground?

  • The time where Rhodas hat its the ground is in the end credits.

  • ohhh thanks.

  • @Janybody17 Yes, that was at the end of each show.

  • Technically season 4 had two different videos. The video here starts with anorexic stills of Valerie. This was changed after the first few epiosdes of the season to more healthy stills of Valerie in a white peasant blouse and does not match the blue outfit worn in the following moving shots.

Although the videos for the opening were the same for seasons 4 &5 the music was somewhat different for the truncated season 5 - it was primarily the same tune, but with a saxaphone leading the music.

  • You really know your stuff!

I was going to post the same thing, but you got it covered!

  • Are you serious? I remember during this time Valerie had began to lose weight it started earlier in The Mary tyler moore show.

  • @AWENDER31 do true

  • i love this show

    i have season one

i am just waiting on season 2

    cross your fingers

    that they;ll bring season 2 - 5 out

  • Valerie was battling a slimming problem, which explains why she looks so ill at start of the credits, didn't like Rhoda in the costume hire shop, preferred when she had own business.

  • Aw, why can't I download this video using Real Player? I can for seasons 1-3. Copyright protection my ass, as Rhoda would say! :-p I'd LOVE to see closing credits, too.

  • Thanks for posting! I haven't seen this in years, since it was on Nick at Nite. :)

  • you can now get this show on DVD. Season one is on store shelves.
