@john2rds the PS2 had several processing units for lots of seperate things but only one main CPU.
The problem for multi core processors today is to sync all the cores like the PS2 synced the processing units it has. Its a completely different architecture and this gives us problems like extreme slowdowns.
That's quite high ... but I think the issue is , my core doesn't actually wanted to handle the PCSX2 , the PC running ok but the PCSX itself like snail .
I know its rediciloulsly high, but lets remember that a PS2 dont work the same way a PC does and that a PC is trying to emulate PS2 hardware on a PC system, that in it self takes a lot of computing.
3.5 GHz Quad is a lot but thats what u need to run @ 60FPS constantly.
I rather play PC game ... as if I have PC to support PCSX2 to run 60fps , I would play a PS3-ish game that appear as PC platform , Driver San Francisco for example , or even something like Modern Warfare III .
yeah but better than nothing! =)

Yaya ... Btr Than Nth ...
But Wat Can I Ply ?
john2rds 2 years ago
Don't use the 0.9.4 version. That's ancient. Get the latest beta version and the latest versions of the plugins and the game will run a lot better.

@vipersickboy24 ,
Which GPU would be enough then ? :o
john2rds 9 months ago
@john2rds 1GB+ if you want it to run smoothly
vipersickboy24 9 months ago
@vipersickboy24 ,
wow ... even I upgraded my graphic card , I still only have 512MB/128bit .
john2rds 9 months ago
@john2rds its best to just play pc games. or ps on your playstation and have fun
vipersickboy24 9 months ago
@vipersickboy24 ,
Well ... I tried MC3 in PCSX2 on my PC because that time my TV were blown , and I missed those PS2 game so much . XD
john2rds 9 months ago
@vipersickboy24 not the GPU its the CPU. my i5 750 clocked @3.0 cant handle that game (i have an ATI HD 5870 graphics card)

@FrUsTrIc ,
PS2 itself only have around 1GHz of CPU only , isn't it ? Which meant the PS2-emulator isn't really works .

@FrUsTrIc ,
So ... it's impossible to run smooth unless we able to let the CPU handle the PCSX2 well ?
john2rds 6 months ago
@john2rds
Exactly and to do that they need more power (3.5 GHz Quad Core or 4GHz Dual Core)
