@chidragon60 You can change these settings with the "engine.ini" file in your Anno 1404 folder. Google for further information, it's very easy to get unlimited zoom. I would post the commad, but stupid youtube doesn't allow special symbols. Sorry...

Click on a house and it will tell you why it is not happy and what needs need to be filled before it will advance and tax needs to be lowest for richer people to move in.

Buildings like Markets and churches have an influence area so the houses outside that area will not be happy have a church and pub at every mmarket area but be carefull with your money dont try to please everyone have a posh and a poor area on your island.

Have an island just for industry and makemore products then you city island needs and sell the overflow that will help with your income also for your first games choose easy and no opponent  just have pirates on the map so its still challanging.

yeah it's really good game. You have to watch carefully what steps you do in game. Otherwise it's so hard later. Only thing that I don't like is that when it's war and I have not very much supplies, then people are so mad at me and stuff. They could understand that it's war and stuff. Otherwise 7/5 I love this game.

I've been playing for 14 hours straight and only on the 2nd last chapter of the campaign . The campaigns are realllly long so are the military battles and takeovers . I'd still recommend this game for city-building lovers ( Similiar to warcraft 3 to me ) . Its a good game though . go get it

when it came out i was so exited to play it etc, i loved 1701 and older ones, but this one is just toooo much complex just too much, way too much buildings, i played one skirmish and till i got it all built i got bored of it, it just gets too much repetitive, it looks great and all but its just too much time playing too little satisfaction.

I'm almost done the Campaign, where you learn about all the various buildings, etc. (it's like a long tutorial) As far as I can tell, you can build an Oriental harbour, but only the warehouse and shipyard are "oriental"... you can mix in western harbour components, provided your western population is advanced enough.

Case in point: I started playing this game after dinner the other evening and I ended up playing straight through to the next morning without even noticing how much time had elapsed. Probably not, this game is actually quite hard on systems. You MIGHT be able to run it at lowest settings at 640x480 or 800x600 but don't expect much more than that. If there is a demo you can download it and give it a try.

I'm working on the last chapter right now... failed my first attempt on the third stage of construction. I think you have to be a good multi-tasker... work on the chapel, but definitely do the sidequests as well... they really help.

Best Anno yet, imo. I think that Blue Byte studio did GREAT job on this one! (they made The Settlers series if you know) I think they brought great details in this game, also great graphics. I think it´s the settlers 6 engine. Just a thought
