@2k05gt yeah ranger is no doubt the best vette driver out there as far as running the drag strip. he has ran some crazy times in stock vettes and ive heard he running them in the drag for chevy tests on the drag times

The guy didn't believe that I WASN'T boosted. At 400 hp, I would hope he could trap like me with 300+ with just gears and a few bolt ons. I beat stock GTO's very easily. I've beaten LS2 CTS-V's easily too(watch?v=-yClsV1dJEM), and mildly modded LS1 Maro's and T/A's so I think it's pretty established that an Lsx non Vette is going to have to go beyond lightly modded to beat me consistantly. Once I start forging and boosting my Stang, Nothing will matter anymore.

My Stang It won't get 12's on streets, but it would get 12's at sea level with it's current set up, easily, and it would dare stock or close to stock LS2 GTO, or CTS-V's to come with the typical "I'm all that even though I'm stock" attitude. Better open that thing up pretty good before trying to pick on this 3 valve. Then it'll do some damage.
hey, so ur saying that you do live near NJ? do you ever head to ATCO raceway? and if the vid. you posted was ur friends mustang, thats sick. its funny, im not that much of a mustang hater, actually the first car i ever owned was an 06 GT...thet thing could move, but the interior was a little plain, plus i rlly like the increase of power in the LSx engines...dont get me wrong the stang was reliable (cept for the damn alternator) but im still happy with my choice to jump to the goat

I was about to buy a Goat before I got the Mustang, and if you were cammed, then I couldn't even come close to you in the 1/4, but what happens is LSx guys get soooooo confident, that they think they can take me out with 4.10's/CAI and tune/high flow cats, and DR's, when they are stock. Not happening
nooo....im not saying that, well lets take a look here, exclude the DRs, street tires for both. 4.10 will throw a lil more torque on the low end, CAI and tune usually good for about 25 hp, and cats usually another 15hp...so intheory at the block u have bout 345BHP and quicker low end gears, so yeah, if i were to guess a stock LS2 GTO on street tires would lose to you with all that and on DR...both on streets its a drivers race with a descent advantage to the goat....but my goat isnt stock fyi
IF you run consistant 1.8's and 1.9's in the 60 foot, then you would definately run with me, but LS2 GTO's have wheel hop when they are stock. If you dropped some poly bushings into your IRS, I believe you could come out of the hole screamin.

Hell no, I can't get 12's at 5880ft above sea level. Neither can a stock LS2 GTO. Hell, a pullied Terminator, or cammed LS1 has a hell of a time getting into the 12's at my track. Trust me, I've seen plenty, plenty, plenty LS2 GTO's run at my track. With an amazing driver, the best that thing could do is about what I do consistanly with my set up. Truth is, 12's don't happen that much. S197's can hit 13.2 with an amazing driver stock. At best your car is about 3 tenths quicker stock.
I have the same type mods, cept I have the hi flow cats along with the CAI and tune with the 4.10's. It moves you out of the box. That was a bad run by the C6 ZO6 though :-/.

Well, I saw the vid you have on your page, and I didn't see a GTO worth worrying about, unless you've modded it since the vid.
I drive 05 S197 4.10's/DR's/Poly control arms, race tune, xpipe/no cats. Gets the job done for now. Big mods 4 future.

that was not a bad run at all that was a typical run between 11.5 and 11.7 there are a select few going 10.98 ,10.99, low 11 s most run 11.5 to 11.7
