I remember seeing my first 318ti in a department store parking lot. I was mesmerized. Not everyone in US hates hatchbacks. And it was rash for this announcer to bash the 318ti. He's right about the Boston leather, though. What a stupid name-- similar to idiomatic faux pas on the old stereos: "Business" CD? WTF, BMW.

Man you don't know what you're talking about because the good ti, the 325ti, was never taken to the US by BMW. It's a great car with M suspension, et al. Do your home work before you comment. The ti model was NOT a crap model.

I wish my 5 series was as maintenance free as my "crap" 318ti. I sometimes think they over built the 318ti-I have 149k miles on the original clutch! He mentioned the 1 series taking away sales from the 3 series and he's probably right. I think BMW is slightly off target with the 1 series-too high end,too heavy, and try to get one for under $30k.
