I'm thinking about getting one with a synthetic stock, 22" barrel .30-06 and maybe a 1-5x40mm or just a straight 4x40. I can use my dad's 740 mags in it since these all used the same mag.
i own a 30-06 camo 7600 with a 3-9x40 weaver, and it is awesome!!! cleaning is more of a pain in the ass than a bolt action, other than that, the gun is amazing.. i have a 10 shot mag and never really use it for deer hunting, i use the 10 shot for storage on a long hunt, so there is no rattle, and can be packed away easily
nice rifle to have in grizzly bear or lion country fast ,accurrate, 10 plus 1 rounds of hard hitting 180 gr 30-06, i would take this over any double barrel rifle for dangerous game
@lalakiller54 Thats very interesting considering its only been around for 30 years.Your dads dads dads dad couldnt of even been alive when it was first manufactured.

Nice!!! I'm looking at buying the carbine 30-06 model. Do you know where can I find the 10 round magazines?

@amaya1000rr check your local laws, and then your local gun store, or gander mountain.
