I could agree being strict on violent offenders. People who have no regard for others well being don't deserve any rights. The Criminal Justice system is the way it is to reflect the morality of our society. The prisoners get their last meal and three meals a day as an act to show that we are more moral than them. Starving them would be an act that would stoop us down to their level. Definitely agree though that the food shouldn't be extravagant, but since both you and I are Canadian, then I should inform you Gunns that our country's meals average only 82 cents a prisoner, minimum UN standards =D, which im happy w/.

@Danny121208 Hey ! My grandpa used to be in a gang, he was ****ing mean, heartless, and violent. But then he went to prison/jail, and he somehow changed over time, and he got out for being good. And now he is a literally a changed good guy married to my grandma, me his grandson, and he is ashamed of his past life and wants to make up for it, and now he is a teddy bear.. You get the point, and all humans are equal, even if most people don't see it that way.

@Spinozilla98 yeah and actually i do think people should get a second chance ONE second chance..but if they fuck up then its not worth trying to fix them..theyre a waste of space and oxygen..people can get over drugs sure..but if they cant why keep them here..give them one chance to get off drugs or turn theyre life around and thats it..its not that hard to be good..im 20 and im fine..ive gone through hell but i dont do drugs, i dont smoke, i drink a little on occasion..its your choice

The Criminal Justice system is the way it is to reflect the morality of our society. The prisoners get their last meal and three meals a day as an act to show that we are more moral than them. Starving them would be an act that would stoop us down to their level. Definitely agree though that the food shouldn't be extravagant, but since both you and I are Canadian, then I should inform you Gunns that our country's meals average only 82 cents a prisoner, minimum UN standards =D, which im happy w/.

I agree 100%. Each and every one of these individuals were given the opportunity to make the right choices in life, and they deviate, and in doing so, hurt our society as a whole. And the result is prison. Prison should be something that everyone fears and dreads going to. But it's not. It's basically a shitty resort. You get TV, clean clothes, 3 meals a day, and a bed to sleep on. Those are things that some people covet. Yet the low-life scums who don't give a shit about anyone else gets them.

I think you should think a little deeper about this Gunns.
There are people who has been framed and have been forced to go to prison for something they never did. And think about those who didn't harm anyone, but just made a big mistake in their lives.
I agree with you that the murderers, rapists and those who harmed people should suffer in prison.
But I also think as I mentioned that those who never harmed anyone should recieve a second chance.
Unless they keep making those mistakes.

I've known niggas that were raised to be gang bangers, drug dealers, and despite how much i hate this term, all around menaces to society. But to take it a step further in a more...realistic way, most of them were only like that because of their ENVIRONMENT, and complete neglect from their parents (such is the case with nearly every impoverished family), so of course they were going to grow up to be criminals, but that begs the question
