  • thats just a shovel nose ray flipped upside down. Pretty rare in russia and they look a bit different there but obviously a shovel nose ray. They even use them like 90% of the time for fish and chips

    They are edible and taste kind of like scallops.

    Skate's have been made into and sold as jenny haniver's (fictitious sea monsters), mermaids, dragons, devils, angels, and bishop fish for centuries - once dried, or even disfigured, resulting in what appears to be a creepy looking beastie.
