The two times I have heard strange sounds have not sounded like these that I've found on youtube. These all sound almost like the aliens from the 'War of the Worlds' movie. I think your descriptions of "metallic and creaky machineary are spot on. I think the Earth's molten iron (metal) core is gone awry, and so has thus the magentic field of the Earth, its ringing the Earth's magnetic field like a bell, people have reported seeing the northern lights in the wrong places, not just near the poles like in Alaska. When I first heard it in November in Overland Park I thought it was a broken siren.....but since then I heard that they weren't doing the sirens that day. What ever it was they ran it again in the second week in January.

im not too sure about this video... i just find it terribly hard to believe that there is absolutely NO car noise in queens of all places! it sounds more like a town in the middle of the country... i've heard these strange noises before so im not discrediting that they do occur... but why is Queens, NY so quiet? i've been to new york several times and never heard it this quiet... even in queens.

Its the sound of the underground bases being napalmed. A MASSIVE air vent opening and shutting. What can be heard is constant and repetitive. Although the sounds are not the same for every location.
This is because of the different SIZED air vents used for different underground bases. They did not use the same design for each base. Hate to say it, but it is likely that a lot of people died each time these sounds were heard. Does it sound like 30,000 people screaming to you? It does to me

Why is it that ALL the videos are either up high OR people alone ?
How come there is no " Street " level people shooting these videos ?
With ALL the cell phones around.......nobody has heard these sounds.......and catch traffic stopping or BIG group of people on the street just stopping in there tracks and looking up?

My wife and I heard these sounds here in Maryland on Jan 22 & 23 2012. The most freaky sound I've heard in my 50+ years. It was loud & has tremendous energy behind it. Coming from the entire sky in every direction reverberating in your chest. I would never have believed this story until I heard it for myself.
Those trying to debunk these sounds by saying they hear (same) birds chirping in all the videos should consider maybe the birds in every locale are freaked out too.

I've heard the same noise between 3 am and 7am in Queens, NY.It sound like a very large rack on concrete, and after like unnatural animal growls. All dogs in the neighborhood go wild barking and howling. I live in tha bx and i was at my boyfriends house and i heard a weird noise like 2 nights ago which woke me and him up @ around 3am
It sounded like a loud vibration and it was makin me paranoid

It almost sounds like someone on a skate board skating on one of those pipe things or what ever they call them. sounds like it goes up one side, then you hear em hit the top stop and go back down and up the other side, sometimes it sounds like the skateboard is stopped, and flipped then started again sometimes not. but that's what it sounds like to me.
