Update: Christian was injured in June and was in a boot cast for 6 weeks so he played b-ball at 70% this summer. He just came off football playoffs a few weeks ago and his timing on the basketball court was a little off. After 4 games he is averaging 17 pts a game. Foul trouble and blowing out a few teams have hurt his scoring a bit, but I think the game will slow down more in a few games and his overall game should go up. He just turned 16 a few months ago and he is starting to grow again.
damn hes good. for his age you should compare him to cesar Guerrero. same grade as his...no offence but i think cesar might be better considering the fact that chris is still rly good for his age.
Not anymore, we changed his shot last May of 2008 and now he shoots from a higher position butr not as good. I made a mistake and did not keep him playing for over three months during football season so his shot went south. I won't do that again.
How is Chris's defense? lets say he were to guard the fabolous dominic gurule, do you think he would shut him down, i have herd its hard and dominic is unstoppable.
Luke, Chris was 5'9" 132 pounds when this vid was shot last December. He had as much muscle as a chicken...lol. He just cracked 145 this week. He is gaining 1-2 pounds a week right now.
I would guarntee i could shut him down. Look at the defense he was playing agaisnt. No Defense what so ever. Looked like a 2-3 but it wasnt orginized. Kid isnt that great. Hate to say.
Imbored, most freshmen teams play mediocre defense so I understand your point. Since this game last year, Chris has improved alot.
He has traveled to three states and played against some good 15-16U teams and plays varsity for spring league. They haven't been able to shut him down, just slow him up.
He has a very good shot past the three point line and it gives teams problems.
I appreciate your post because I use them to let Chris know that he has to keep working hard to earn the respect.
Good observation blessednegro032! This game is when he just turned 14 and weighed about 129 pounds. He had about as much strength as a poodle...lol. In feb we started weight training and now he shoots his 3's from a higher position. He's also grown to just under 5'11" and weighs 143 pounds. We will keep training and once he turns 15 and matures I will let him lift more weights. By the way I posted video response of chris playn...thanks for the positive feedback!
i mean the kid is alrite but hes playin freshman basketball this isnt impressive at all i can see if he was playin varsity but hes not. still has a looonnnnggggn way to go
tournament with the Varsity team now. First game he was nervous and it showed. Second game he ran the point and did much better. Coach started him in the second half.
He's got a long way to go to get stronger, quicker and more skilled. He does weight lifting four days a week with the football team....dribbling, shooting drills several times a week with me.
He's still only 14 years old, so I think maturity will make a big difference.
In July 07 he played 13 games with the JV team at age 13 and did ok. But I think playing on the frosh team was the right thing to do.
On JV he would not have been able to play the point guard position most of the game and develope his ball handling as fast. He was the 2nd tallest player on the frosh team, but was able to grow at the point guard position.
I believe his height will dictate that he plays the 1 or 2 position long term.
W/E even if this is Oak Hill these kids must be in area the players you talking about the went to Oak Hill came off athletic Scholarships to the school, well no they don't say there athletic scholarships though my bad. And how tall is this kid like 5'10?!!? Put money on it that dude couldn't come in Indiana, let alone Indianapolis and do this against no grade 9ers. Ben Davis, Warren Central, Lawrence North and Lawrence Central would light tht ass up!!! Good game against some midgets though!!!lol
hes alright itsnot hard to score when your playing miget ball and by that i mean only gr 9s i had a 20pts 10reb 5blk my first game as a gr 9 but when you playing agisnt gr 10 and 11 its alot harder

what school does he go to?
timbawolveslyf2 3 years ago
Legacy HS. The coaches recently moved him to varsity for the Spring leaque to help his game develope. He has to get used to the speed
and power of the bigger more mature players.
He's still only 14 years old.
He's been holding his own at the point position.
