I think that was the first special Disney did of the Muppets since they officially bought them (though Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island were released by Disney, Disney didn't officially own them yet). In fact, the only Muppet things that are fairly recent that I really like are the comic books and the viral videos (you can see those here).
