One of the great acts of British Variety, lasting from 1920's to the1950's often imitated, never bettered, Wilson was an American, Joe Keppel from Cork in Ireland,( and a friend of my grandfather) and Betty was American, appearing with Jack Benny on stage before joining the boys, who first teamed up in Australia, taking the act to the States, then to the UK. The Sand Dance was only part of the act, called Cleopatra's Nightmare.
