  • Looks like the SI valve actually drains more out. While the Apex is faster on the flow rate, the SI appears to be better about dumping the last little bit. I noticed there was no discussion of the remaining amounts of water. It was obvious in observation that the SI-Tech drained more out, not faster but more.

  • The engineers told me to remember that water is 833 times denser than air. This test is like watching air in very slow motion. What you see would happen in less than one quarter of a second in air. It's a bit of a 'Myth Busters' approach to addressing the banter.

DUI sells all valves shown in the test. We have found that less than 10% of DUI divers have a preference other then the Apeks low profile valve and the second choice is the Apeks older style referred to as high profile valve.

  • Hi Magicord,

Thanks for watching DOGTV and for your comment. I will post this is two comments as I am limited in my response here.

This video is not designed to state that one valve is 'superior' over another valve. It is really designed to address some of the verbal claims in the field about superior performance from one valve over another.

  • I don't understand these tests. In all the tests, the Apeks dumps much better as the beginning when the pressure gradient is the largest. When they dump to about a couple of inches before empty, the ST obviously catching up. So does this means Apeks is less efficient than ST??
