  • Ra ra like a dungeon dragon!

  • This game isnt THAT bad. Ok, its short and has some bugs. but online, with friends, you can have some fun for round about 10-15 hours. Fast action gameplay, looting and the arena level and the bossfight are funny. its playable. its "OK". 6,5/10 my opinion, but 1200 MS points are to expensive for that game. 800 point would be ok.

  • Dnd critted 20 for doing a shitty, unknown game. Again.

  • Dungeons and drag queens!

  • i need Help with it add me my GT is AoD LOSTxSHADOW

  • Nah... pass, when I heard it's Dungeons & Dragon. I know it will fail.

I rather play my old games (Dragon Quest). much cooler.

  • oh i guess the makers made a typo in the title. its supposed to say :

    "D&D: Daggerfail"

  • bow against skeletons? wtf?

  • What's what? Action D&D?

  • @halafradrimx hack and slash type of D&D

  • omg is my first d&d and this game is fucking awesome too bad my sounds don't work i need wait for a patch :|

  • Fuck diablo D&D rule and always will

  • ..could love it , if i were in 2003.

  • PirateBay brought me here

  • this is hack and slash, that is only named after dnd. for a game to be an rpg, it should have a deeper story, than: evil wizard builds tower. glowing chick spawns random dudes, orders them to slay the wizard, then vanishes.

  • I'll take my Pen&Paper over this. The graphics are a hell of a lot better.

  • looks surprisingly boring...

  • worst game ever

  • I can't pass the dragon how many times I have to kill this bitch??

    Rezlus is retarded

  • @333Lithium333 Don't worry about it, the ending sucked. But what you need to do is once you shoot up the two claws and head of the dragon, it will make a flame wall. Then the dragon will fly up in the sky and the flame wall will drop. You then run passed where the flame wall was and hit the use button next to Rezlus and that will take you to the next cut scene with you jumping on the dragons back where you try to reach it's head to stab its eye out.

  • @blarson12

Thanks dude I finished the game

  • @333Lithium333 Well congratulations! It took me a while to figure it out too. To be honest i hate games that are tricky like that thats why for me the ending of this game sucked. The game its self was very basic and i expected more from a D&D game.

  • hahahahaa wtf is this real life???

  • that game must be throwned in dungeons .

  • @bloodymonster23 thrown*

  • i now dowloading this game :D

  • @01zaraza10 Its not even worth pirating xD

  • how old are these makers 50 ??? geees....

  • looks stupid.

  • seems kinda lame

  • seem kinda lame

  • Dungeons and chicks would sell best :D

  • @0lMelhor D&C? Sounds like a good game idea.

  • not sure if want.

  • Is this like a warm-up for Diablo 3 ?

  • Is this fast action or typical mmo?

  • @REJEKT777 Action-packed RPG gameplay allows for solo and co-op play for up to four players.

  • Meh.

  • These graphics are like everquest and not half as good as WoW. LOL

  • @electronicoffee WoW is the worst game ever made though

  • @BMXsatisfaction u was made worst

  • @cbb72 that doesn't make any sense.

  • @BMXsatisfaction i mean that u was born . Get it ?

  • @cbb72 of course I was born, everybody was you retard.

  • @BMXsatisfaction u got big mouth

  • @cbb72 and you state the obvious, oh and by the way my mouth is not abnormally large.

  • this is more like Dungeons and Dragons: Moria " Based on a novel by JRR Tolkien"

  • sigh, boring like baldurs gate for the ps2. D&D really shouldn't put their name on these games =/

  • @poopyloopster

    so... all critics?

  • This game looks really cool.

  • 0:27 looks like lotr in mines of moria...

  • @SPYROSMASTER8 agree! It do look like mines of moria in lotr :P

  • is this a game or an addon?

  • @gartoden Xbox live arcade game

  • It seems to me from what I've read that it's going to be a good rental game for the weekend with a friend, but, not one to spend your hard earned cash on.

  • @Viktir666 lol its a download game for 15 bucks dont really see how u are gonna rent it

  • @cornkernal OK I was told it's for the PS3. People are passing around stupid info I guess.

  • @Viktir666 its fun for what u spend. i got it on xbox arcade but the big one im waiting for is dungeon seige 3

  • @cornkernal I would like to see a tutorial on how you make your characters and level up and choose new feats and stuff in this game.

  • Wow this game has been out less than 12 hours and its already getting shit reviews.

  • IT'S OUT NOW!!! 1200 microsoft points, listed under DU not DA. I'm downloading as I type this.... excited!!! lol

  • when does this game come out? some sites said yesturday, some said today, but i still do not see it on xbox.

  • @Soundarcher I've seen both 25th and 26th on different sites, so who knows! I'm off to check now...

  • @vyperius It's out now.

  • and how mu h is this going to cost? microsft points wise.some one tell me please i neex to get this game so bad

  • @Glacire I think it's 1200 points.

  • The art looks too WoW'ish for me.

  • You know there are only four classes, who ever heard of a D&D game with only four classes. I want my Half-Elf Ranger dammit, lol.

  • @TherianthropeAndrewH Yeah the character selection is disappointing, just 4 pre-set characters to choose from, I'd have preferred to be able to create my own character but beggars can't be choosers! They have said they plan to release further updates if it is successful, maybe they will add more classes then, here's hoping.

  • Vyperius is totally right. There are waaay too few local coop games for the Xbox360 and Xbox in general. They make great game night fun for a group of friends and we've played every Gantlet game on the Gamecube and Xbox to death. I wish this market would get more attention. Daggerdale will make for many a fun night.

  • @lukionxxx As I said to Vyperius, check out Hunted: The Demon's Forge.

google: Battlestrat's Hunted: The Demon's Forge Preview.

  • What's the point making a D&D game if they aren't even going to utilize the D&D rules? It's just a cheap action game.

  • @avatarion - For all you know the entire ruleset from D&D could be baked into the game engine.

In only 30 seconds of gameplay, I saw the following D&D elements:

    * A class system

    * A halfling and an elf

    * Hold action

    * A level system

    * Tumble

    * Critical Hit

Neverwinter Nights is the closest you will ever get to pure D&D in game form, and even after that amount of polish it was obvious that D&D game mechanics are not well suited for anything but tabletop gaming. Barely even that, in my opinion.

  • @avatarion warhammer has an mmo and warhammer 40,000 has an fps and a 3rd person shooter hack'n'slash being made. Games franchises don't have to stick to just one style of gameplay.

  • @avatarion The devs have said it's based on 4th edition D&D rules as much as they can, but they have streamlined some of the rules and abilities so it works smoothly as an action hack and slasher.

  • @vyperius haha bullshit. I actually play 4th edition with a bunch of friends and a teacher. and this is nothing like it, DnD is all about making up your own character, making your own adventure and playing the way you want to!

not being limited to 4 classes that arent customizable, I play as a half-ling sorcerer and its fun to see people walk up to me like, aww whos a cute little guy, then I blow his brains out with a fireball.

  • @mitch13815 I think they just mean that lots of the moves in the game are based on attacks and powers from 4e. But one of the characters is a halfling wizard lol.

  • @vyperius im a halfling sorcerer In DnD lol kinda funny.

although wizards suck and sorcerers pwn.

  • Holy shit. Im a DDO fan and this is so cool. Can anyone point me to any more content about this game

  • why have I not heard of this game?

  • Looking forward to this!! There are so few local coop dungeon crawlers on the xbox, this looks a lot like baldurs gate dark alliance which me and my missus played to death. It's an Xbox Arcade game so I'm guessing it will be 800 or maybe 1200 points.

  • @vyperius You'll also want to check out Hunted: The Demon's Forge out on the 31st if you want a local splitscreen co-op dungeon crawler.

  • @millertime6888 Thanks, looks like that one is split screen for local coop which tends to annoy me but I'll try and get a demo.

  • @vyperius Oh you actually like how they did it for Fable. See I'm the opposite. I like splitscreen but yeah im not sure if i like the way Hunted does it. I don't do much local co-op though, mostly online with my friends.

  • @millertime6888 Yeah I find having half a screen a bit too limited. It also encourages players to wander off in different directions, not much point playing coop if you only see your partner once in a blue moon!

  • My prediciton for this game is that it will be released this month (or atleast its meant to be released this month), it will crawl under the radar for 6 months & then be consigned to the bdget bin as one of those D&D games no one gives a shit about. This a combination of Turbine & Cryptic.... Turbine the people who tried to fuck up DDO & Cryptic the people who have fucked up every game they have ever worked on.

  • I LOVE D&D RPG games, but the graphics on this look behind the times and gameplay looks boring in the trailer. :(

    Otherwise id buy it.

  • @CescoPisicoli Possibly a low Budget game

  • Looks bad. I prefer table top DnD. If I want to play a game like this on console, I go for Elder Scrolls.

DnD should stay where it belongs which is on table top.

  • @osamabinash I disagree, I liked, EOB, TOEE, Darksun, Pretty much any blackisle forgotten realms title, Planescape Torment, almost all of NWN series, and even DDO, which were all fine PC games. And for console I didn't think the baludurs gate action rpg games were that bad at all.

  • @osamabinash

This isn't like Elder Scrolls in the slightest. It's a hack'n'slash in the D&D universe.

  • @2Beasty I agree. But it will keep me busy with some D&D co-op fun until Skyrim is out in November.

  • @osamabinash Table Top will always be better. But i don't mind a 3d computerized adaption Every now and again

  • @RTard48JRod Adaption? You call this an adaption of an tabletop RPG?

  • @slitor I guess more of a"merchandise", like a nice T-Shirt based on DnD. The game looks fun, but it is based on the table-top game.:)

  • @RTard48JRod Sorry but....the whole IP/franschise game(pun not intendedn) in the game industry have nothing todo with gameplay...its just marketing.

  • @slitor Are you suggesting they only "slapped" on the DnD name for marketing purposes?

  • @RTard48JRod yep, at most, for the story-setting...

    You think that's unlikely?

    Never played Demons's stone?

Its all "Button -> Awsome" now, yet they still want the old consumers in with the new, never questioning that there might be different demands.

  • wow. really? hm. interesting..idk if i want to get this.

  • @kukularz I have yet to find an RPG that was so bad that I wasn't even driven enough to finish it. NwN was still pretty bad as far as D&D games go, it was neither story driven nor hardcore rollplay (not a typo). It was, in fact, one of the very few games where I got tired of it in the middle of the second run and deleted it. NwN2 was slightly better but the rules implementations had (and still have) some very frustrating quirks, not to mention all of the NPCs are as antipathic as they can get.

  • @Hanatash My biggest gripe with NW2 OC is its encounter design, that is, there was none, they just added platoons upon platoons of the same generic NPC.

The infinity engine exelled at this though, most encounter was tailored to its specific place on the level, and there was allways lots of variation in monsters and enemy NPC's

  • Man I loved NWN I played that thing for hours...complained at it's cons...beat it...played again...then enjoyed the hundreds of new classes from the mod kits

  • I just hope this game is like baldurs gate dark alliance and champions of norrath/return to arms.

  • @typsyty Those are some badass games. Never played Baldurs Gate 2 though:(..Is it any good?

  • @RTard48JRod Baldurs gate 2 is just as good as the first baldurs gate. Try it out man!

  • Dungeons and dragon age! :D

a lot of dragon age on it!

  • @Dakarne Neverwinter Nights was never a good D&D adaptation, the game was horrible up until the second expansion and the implementation of rules was satisfactory at best.

Probably the best D&D adaptation was Temple of Elemental Evil but the game was a bit too hardcore for the general crowd.

  • @Hanatash I disagree. Every Neverwinter Nights title was good in a "I'm fucking pissed at this game, but damn me if I don't finish it" sort of way.

  • Demon Stone fail-style

  • Wow well looks ok hope it comes soon cuz I'm board cuz two worlds ii didn't have free roam so I have done everything I can till a dlc so I'll wait for this well I'm gonna go check out torchlight

  • Not only does this resemble a piece of mindless hack-and-slash crap, it doesn't even resemble a *good* piece of mindless hack-and-slash crap. Does anyone else remember the days wherein Dungeons & Dragons adaptations meant 'Baldur's Gate' or 'Neverwinter Nights'?

  • @Dakarne I do. I still have my original boxed copies.... that I cant play cause my new comp is too fast. LOL ^_^

I need to buy the re-released version that came out last year.

Especially BG2 and Planescape Torment. *Drools*

Aaah the memories of playing BG2 obsessively back when it was first released... I'm such an adult child ^_^

  • @Lostfaith1980 well your are an adult kid amongst many! The best way to go for you is to buy these games from the "Good Old Games" website. They fixed bugs and set them up to work on modern computers. I'm doing anoth playthrough The Temple of elemental Evil and loving every second of it!

  • @spiraling69 I've yet to play that. I have it sitting in my basket on play .com ready to be bought but I'm skint. Just spent £130 on a flip 3rd gen camera. Maybe now I can finally make some youtube videos.

In a month or two once I have money again and if I dont starve in the meantime I'll buy TOEE. ^_^

  • Something off-putting about this, another mindless hack n' slash piece of garbage?

Probably. Quite frankly it's an abomination to put the (sacred) D&D stamp on piece of shit games, like almost everything recently, with the exception of TOEE.

  • finally something worth buying on XBLA for a change no more stupid puzzle games

  • Idk... loos like a hack'n'slash game. It may be fun but it will be nothing like nwn or bg games. From the brief info what I've saw, it looks kinda like a Borderlands-style gameplay.

  • The game play looks promising... The ability to dive to the side in the middle of a fight gives it much more realism than most of the stand and hack games out there.

  • I hope this is like DD Heroes for the original xbox.... that'd be sweet!

  • Omggg~ finally something I actually like on the XBLA.

  • love the art style on this

  • Hell, it's about time someone did a game like that!!!

  • Hrm... this looks somewhat like a Diablo-style game. Multi-player RPG, without being an MMO. Interesting, if you've got buddies to play with.

  • @TtheWriter =), unfortunatly lots of people has no friends :(, which makes me sad.

  • I'm thinking along the lines of D&D Heroes for original Xbox.

  • Looks nice, but I'm curious as to how entertaining of a setting this mine can really be.

Also, for everyone talking about this being an MMORPG, it isn't. It's an action RPG with multiplayer content.

  • My guess is that it's an action-RPG. At least that's what I hope it is.

  • is this an expansion ?

  • actually looks more like an action rpg, not a mmorpg

  • @Fulltonic It's not an MMO, that's the sad thing! It'll be interesting to see how freeplay mode works.

  • @strictlynineties MMOs suck, I prefer that it's a dungeon crawl like the old baldur's gate games.

  • @S0ryiu I agree.

  • Nice, gives a great first impression. im glad rpg/mmo devs have realised the wow point and click is really really old and incredibly unappealing.

  • @Theicemonkeyjr WoW point and click? So you have never played WoW and you critcise it?

  • @tomroxelf Of course ive tried it, you point the curser at the enemy, and click to watch the outcome, occasionally pressing a key for a special ability, its boring and repetitive

  • @Theicemonkeyjr You're getting confused. That is not what world of warcraft is like at all.

  • @tomroxelf Well to me the combat disconnected from the player. You can manually swing a sword such as in say, devil may cry, you click, then after a few seconds later or when the character WAITS for the enemy to attack it you then attack. its all just blatant dice rolling and that personally isnt appealing to me. im not trollin its just my opinion. continue this discussion if you wish i find your point of view interesting.

  • @Theicemonkeyjr it's your opinion but you don't know what the concept "dice rolling" is and if you know you are missusing it in WoW's case

in this case you are basing your argument on an error and for that is why you are wrong

call it grinding or automated battle system if you want but it's anywhere near a dice rolling as such find a better concept and rethink about it

no im not trying to change your point of view just your misconceptions

  • @misanthropiclusion So what you're saying is you don't like rpgs.

  • @tomroxelf wrong quote
