I honestly liked this game.....sure it had a lot of problems but it had a lot of cool things also, and if you play online with friends the good things outweigh the bad ones...the mission designs were great, the guns felt realistic, i really felt like i was in a battle....now run the game on the frostbite engine and remove the glitches and add just a few things and you have a really great game
If you consider this game as tactical try to play the orginal Operation Flashpoint called Operation Flashpoint: Cold war crisis. That game isn't developed by the retards of Codemasters though, so it's a lot better.
Red River is of course more IN LINE with COD/BF than Operation flashpoint.

Personally, I think this game is a huge improvement on Dragon Rising. Friendly AI is still painfully stupid, but the appeal of the game HAS improved. Lack of vehicles does not bother me. Not every marine is able to hop into a blackhawk, Amtrak or Abrhams and know how to drive it.. yet most can drive a Humvee. Recoil is accurate, the only thing that isn't improved is enemy AI. It's gotten worse. No longer do they try and flank you and out manoeuvre your squad like they did in DR.
Heard a ton of bad shit about this game from RRC. I think its a well rounded game.... but people are saying its codified because of no recoil, other pointless shit. The guns do have recoil a bit. Just to all the noobies do not use SAW when trying to take out a unit from afar. No matter how slow you shoot you will not hit it

This game got more into, modern warefare stile, where u can kill enemies up close without problems and run around, i prefer the previous one wher eu had to fight far away from the enemies, and where u had trouble if u run out of ammo and had only a pistol whcih was useless in singleplayer.

@sillentassasian i think that this game is way different than two.. i mean yeah the guns, ironsights might look the same. the vehicles look the same, but Not everything is the same. for example, the guns here you can switch firing mode, turn on flashlight, and your laser, the vehicles here you can turn on/off the light, and so is the engine. which the player can turn the gameplay different.. and this game is way more tactical that the two, i love both games but this is more RTS/FPS :D

DR is the best console shooter ever made but it does have it's problems.Vehicle controls suck,command radial too slow,reload time and weapon swap under fire is like a Sunday at the range and the enemy could spot you at 200m under impossible circumstances.Just fix those issues and leave the core gameplay alone.There's plenty of COD for the braindead masses.I'm looking forward to this new game but they better fix that obvious shit and don't COD it to death.
This game won't be changed from what's seen in the video. The game is away too deep into development in order to do so. Currenctly, according to Sion Lenton, the game is being tested for bugs and such.

@RedRiverChannel yes it does... last time I checked soldiers go into a combat zone knowing overall ammo and rely on radio grid reference etc. to know where the nearest friendlies are, their location, enemy location etc. but its not just not having a hud that makes it more realistic , it just helps in realism... things like going in with less than 600 FREIKING BULLETS FOR AN M4 and not having AN ENDLESS FLOW OF BADGUYS AND FRIENDLIES that makes it more realistic.

@RedRiverChannel a few of the points you just made are only cause its on easy. there is no radar or aim assist on hardcore, you only get like 3 health packs in hardcore (which is better than a stupid red screen you get, even if your shot in the face 5 times in cod and bf), the ai are a lot smarter and harder on hardcore.
It's been confirmed by both Sion Lenton and Tim Browne that hardcore mode only removes all HUD elements. This means, that you'll still have unlimited health, and the AI won't change in the hardcore mode at all. It will be as stupid as before.
Ask the Devs, or read the sticky threads, instead of using pure speculations as some kind of facts.
By the way, the fact that aim assist and perks even EXIST is a fail itself. It's supposed to be operation flashpoint not cod.

Compared to dragon rising they have removed more than they've added. Multiplayer, map editor, drivable aircraft, tanks, APC SDK (ability to mod the game), realism... It's all gone. It's been replaced with perks, stick-to-aim, dumbed down ai and such.

Codemasters are liers. Codemasters mislead the community with dragon rising. Codemasters dropped the support for dragon rising just months after it's release. Codemasters was sloppy, making the game buggy, glicthy.. it had poor mission design, poor mission editor, poor multiplayer with no dedicated servers, it was unstable, coud only contain few players etc..

Real ofp players do care about this as much they would care about improper bullet drop or inaccurate tracers modelling. Marines don't sprint and strafe to dodge bullets in real-life. That's what you do in games like cod. This game isn't supposed to be like cod. The first OFP was a military combat simulation and that's flashpoints DNA.
Marines don't sprint around ''switching'' weapons either or using magic health packs. They don't have stick to aim or 'perks' either.

@sillentassasian i think that this game is way different than two.. i mean yeah the guns, ironsights might look the same. the vehicles look the same, but Not everything is the same. for example, the guns here you can switch firing mode, turn on flashlight, and your laser, the vehicles here you can turn on/off the light, and so is the engine. which the player can turn the gameplay different.. and this game is way more tactical that the two, i love both games but this is more RTS/FPS :D

I've never said you don't zig zag using it as a tactic. But you won't be able to dodge bullets by zig zaging like in red river. Not only that but the enemy AI in red river is retarded. They shoot like a bunch of fucking morons, die if hit with one shot in the leg, while the player can take various shot in the chest and still survive and use those pathetic magic health packs.
Defending red river and saying It's realistic is just pathetic.

DR is the best console shooter ever made but it does have it's problems.Vehicle controls suck,command radial too slow,reload time and weapon swap under fire is like a Sunday at the range and the enemy could spot you at 200m under impossible circumstances.Just fix those issues and leave the core gameplay alone.There's plenty of COD for the braindead masses.I'm looking forward to this new game but they better fix that obvious shit and don't COD it to death.

This game won't be changed from what's seen in the video. The game is away too deep into development in order to do so. Currenctly, according to Sion Lenton, the game is being tested for bugs and such.
This game is going to be no diffrent from Dragon Rising. Well, it's going to be even more boring. No multiplayer, no SDK, no map editor etc - the game will probably die out faster than dragon rising.

Not true. What makes a game a simulation isn't whenever there's hud or not. It depends on the whole game mechanics, and Red River is simply not a simulation game, It's more in line with cod and battlefield. Don't tr to make the game to something it isn't. And this game is far from being a sim. It's even not a tactical shooter. The game has more resemblence to COD and BF:BC than Operation Flashpoint. Fast reloading, fast running & strafing, fast change of equipment, stick to aim, radar, unlimited magic health packs, and his shity ''Stage 1 wave 2 completed'' (is it space invaders?) and the INCREDIBLE retarded AI and so on.

@RedRiverChannel yes it does... last time I checked soldiers go into a combat zone knowing overall ammo and rely on radio grid reference etc. to know where the nearest friendlies are, their location, enemy location etc. but its not just not having a hud that makes it more realistic , it just helps in realism... things like going in with less than 600 FREIKING BULLETS FOR AN M4 and not having AN ENDLESS FLOW OF BADGUYS AND FRIENDLIES that makes it more realistic.

@RedRiverChannel a few of the points you just made are only cause its on easy. there is no radar or aim assist on hardcore, you only get like 3 health packs in hardcore (which is better than a stupid red screen you get, even if your shot in the face 5 times in cod and bf), the ai are a lot smarter and harder on hardcore.

Wrong.
It's been confirmed by both Sion Lenton and Tim Browne that hardcore mode only removes all HUD elements. This means, that you'll still have unlimited health, and the AI won't change in the hardcore mode at all. It will be as stupid as before.
Ask the Devs, or read the sticky threads, instead of using pure speculations as some kind of facts.
By the way, the fact that aim assist and perks even EXIST is a fail itself. It's supposed to be operation flashpoint not cod.

Compared to dragon rising they have removed more than they've added. Multiplayer, map editor, drivable aircraft, tanks, APC SDK (ability to mod the game), realism... It's all gone. It's been replaced with perks, stick-to-aim, dumbed down ai and such.
This game has more resemblence to cod than operation flashpoint. You do are aware the the first operation flashpoint wasnt developed by codemasters but by bohemia interactive. and it was a success.

Codemasters are liers. Codemasters mislead the community with dragon rising. Codemasters dropped the support for dragon rising just months after it's release. Codemasters was sloppy, making the game buggy, glicthy.. it had poor mission design, poor mission editor, poor multiplayer with no dedicated servers, it was unstable, coud only contain few players etc..

Real ofp players do care about this as much they would care about improper bullet drop or inaccurate tracers modelling. Marines don't sprint and strafe to dodge bullets in real-life. That's what you do in games like cod. This game isn't supposed to be like cod. The first OFP was a military combat simulation and that's flashpoints DNA.
Marines don't sprint around ''switching'' weapons either or using magic health packs. They don't have stick to aim or 'perks' either.

@RedRiverChannel removing PvP multiplayer was a screw up on their part, and far as i know codemasters use the name because after the falling out with Bohemia.
Codemasters had the rights to the name, and thought they could restart a series and make it seem like the sequel with their own ideas for the game, sadly making it more like todays shooters call of duty and battlefield, not like the original because they dont care to, they let what made it like the original fade away.
