Note: the costumes made for the concerts, if this was suppose to be a film why wouldn't they do a full dress rehearsal?; DVD's feature behind the scenes extras, these clips could have been used for a tour dvd; He doesn't go full out, if he knew this was the only version he had to do, why not go full out; there were other songs still to be added to the set. Why, during REHEARSALS would the cinematography, lighting, etc., be so perfect as if it was intended to be a feature film. The few times you saw 'costumes' in the film did you also notice how 'polished' everything was? As if these sequences were final 'takes' to be edited into the film. This is a movie, NOT a documentary. Peace.
Actually, the rehearsal footage was recorded in feature-film quality for a very good reason: they were going to use this footage for a 'making of' This Is It when they released the live version of the O2 concerts on DVD. This information comes directly from Kenny Ortega.
Also, the lighting, cinematography, etc was not 'perfect'. There were plenty of times in the film where the technical aspects of the concert were not finalized.

There is no doubt in my mind that after seeing the movie, and being able to witness how the shows was gonna play out in London, this was gonna be the concert to end all concerts that Michael have ever done. It was just unfortunate that we the people here in the U.S. would not have been able to see the show because of no U.S. tour schedule. I would have loooooved to have been there, I would have paid any price to see it, especially knowing it was to be his LAST!

I would like to point out to people who believe "This is it" was always suppose to be a film. Note: the costumes made for the concerts, if this was suppose to be a film why wouldn't they do a full dress rehearsal?; DVD's feature behind the scenes extras, these clips could have been used for a tour dvd; He doesn't go full out, if he knew this was the only version he had to do, why not go full out; there were other songs still to be added to the set. This documentary is The real deal. RIP Michael

@AlfieGFilms-Have you ever asked yourself why was "raw rehearsal footage showing 3 mos. of preparation for a LIVE SERIES OF CONCERTS" filmed in feature-film quality? Why, during REHEARSALS would the cinematography, lighting, etc., be so perfect as if it was intended to be a feature film. The few times you saw 'costumes' in the film did you also notice how 'polished' everything was? As if these sequences were final 'takes' to be edited into the film. This is a movie, NOT a documentary. Peace.

Actually, the rehearsal footage was recorded in feature-film quality for a very good reason: they were going to use this footage for a 'making of' This Is It when they released the live version of the O2 concerts on DVD. This information comes directly from Kenny Ortega.
Also, the lighting, cinematography, etc was not 'perfect'. There were plenty of times in the film where the technical aspects of the concert were not finalized.
You fail at trying to prove there is a conspiracy behind the film

By the way, Mike used Valentino Johnson aka E'Cas, Navi, Ben Johnson, and a few other excellent "Mike clones" often to use them as decoys to fake out the huge crowds then Mike would go the other way. Check out the interview with the presenter at the 02 announcement, Dermot O'Leary. Listen to what he says. He speaks of "Mike", after making his entrance, asking him "Is the Teleprompter on?" There was NO need for a teleprompter for what was said. The real Mike used handwritten notes. Think about it

Tell me, what the hell could Michael possibly gain from sending a fake version of himself to announce some live shows? Even if it were a fake Michael, the person would still represent Michael and his intentions.
I don't understand why everyone believes there are hoaxes and doubles surrounding the end of Michael's life. The man died and that's all there is to it. No film conspiracies, no hoaxes, just a tragic death that could have been prevented.

Why would we see Mike as filmmaker when this is "supposedly" a "documentary" on the "raw rehearsal footage" (which just so happened to be shot in feature film quality) of Mike & Co. preparing for LIVE CONCERTS in London? He was directing the dome project. That's why they tout that you will see Michael as a 'filmmaker', because no one has seen him in that role before.
The whole premise behind the film is to show you what Michael was planning for his fans at the O2, and to experience 'the man you never knew'. You are making assumptions and speculations about the film that are not based on anything other than your OPINION.
Show us some hardcore evidence that supports your theory, otherwise it's just a theory.

It's my strong belief (it's more than a belief) that body doubles were used in this film. I do not see this as a documentary, rather, a "fantasia" on the "final months" of Michael Jackson preparing for the 02 concerts. I know the "Mike" who gave the initial 02 announcement is NOT Mike. I'm not saying Mike wasn't in this film, he was, but not as extensively as the producers/director wanted us to believe. First of all, this footage was filmed over 3/4 months, so you are bound to see changes in Michael's physique, albeit small ones. especially since he was training for the show.
Secondly, you claim that you 'know' the O2 announcer was not Michael. Please provide hardcore evidence to prove this. Your opinion does not count without evidence.

There is no doubt in my mind that after seeing the movie, and being able to witness how the shows was gonna play out in London, this was gonna be the concert to end all concerts that Michael have ever done. It was just unfortunate that we the people here in the U.S. would not have been able to see the show because of no U.S. tour schedule. I would have loooooved to have been there, I would have paid any price to see it, especially knowing it was to be his LAST!
