  • awsome video man im sry bout your grandpa, mine worked for the texas and pacific in ww2 and the 50's

  • Bring back the 1361!!!!

  • I'm feel sorry about your loss of your granddad. I'll bet he's looking at you right now.

  • To bad railworks doesn't have that many American steam loco's, i would love to make an American train series.

  • Yep, I honestly dislike RailWorks so this is kind of a good thing for Trainz and MSTS.

  • @amtrak60 i like to use railworks for its better graphics.

  • I can't re-install KRS so why bother with RW in my opinion, but I like trainz also because it has lots of good quality models whereas RW is just starting, it'll get better, with time.

  • @amtrak60 thats true

  • @TheARChronicles railworks does do USA locos

  • @HSTMichael yes but not enough in my opinion, they could use more American steam, they only have 4 available for American steam download, Uktrainsim doesn't even have any.

  • R.I.P PRR 1846-1968

  • It's a sad thing that there are not more steam engines... I have a 0-6-0 down the road from me, so better then nothing.

  • what is the song playing on this video? My son loves it.

  • it's in the credits

  • pray to jesus christ

  • we all love train in a way this is the best grandfather turbute ever

  • I'm sorry about your grandfather. I wish mine loved trains but all he loved to do was drink in his youth. I still love him though.

  • My grandpa worked for PRR

  • great

  • @amtrak60 #1, I'm sorry about your grandpa, but you're lucky, I never met any of my grandpas, and 2, if they make Essex railroads #97 in any train simulator, I'm using this song in my video with the old #97 as the main loco.(about the 2nd line of the 2nd verse, "and old 97, she's from New Orleans)

  • That was a nice thing for you to do

  • Thanks.

  • anytime ken.

  • yeah me too! I hope there will be another national train day this year as well ken.

hope I will talk with you again soon.

    from,peter

  • Yeah, me too. Thanks.

  • RIP to your grandfather. My pap (grandfather) worked on the T-1's and K-4's.

  • Thanks.

  • remember we met in philladelphia 30th street station and talk about trains on national train day last year thats how I know your name okay.

    from, peter

  • Oh, OK. I did not remember that. Hope to see you again at NTD this year too!

  • oh sorry about your lost of your grandfather ken. great video

    from,peter

  • Thanks. How do you know my name?

  • Oh man. Watching the K-4s and GG1 just makes me sad as hell. My family worked for the PRR and Penn Central for over 100 years either behind a desk or in the Enola yards. What we have lost. What we have lost.

  • No kidding. Sorry to hear about your family.

  • im sorry about your grandfather

  • thanks

  • Sorry to hear that.

  • @amtrak60 u might reconize my user name i just lost my grandpa to cancer in january but he was a farmer but still :(

  • the K-4s will live on...

  • I hope 1361 is restored soon.

  • Thank you. I am an avid railfan especially of steam locos but sadly down here in South Africa we are losing the battle to save our proud heritage of these fine machines. I have many wonderful memories of steam train travel as a kid and, watching your many video posts has once again fired up my passion for the railroad. It is my dream one day to visit your great country to able to get to ride on some historical lines behind a preserved steam loco. Thank you.

  • We had another steam engine, Milwaukee Road 261, have it's fire dropped, believe it or not, (officially) on Sunday, how ironic. Hope your steam is preserved as well!

  • Wow! What a great tribute... And such a caring grandchild. Thanks for sharing. BTW who is the song performed by?

  • Restless Heart. It was 1 year ago sunday he passed away.

  • every time i think of my grandpa, i think of this song and the prr!

  • Great.

  • these trains shall live forever on msts and trs2006/20009!

  • Great.

  • Im sure your grandfather is still smiling down on you because he is so peoud of you

  • I hope so.

  • I know he is, and can you email this song to me please?

  • No, I don't know how to.

  • thats alright

  • Well, thanks for understanding.

  • no problem

  • i know mine is! because he knows i am just fine

  • Great.

  • thanks x 3!

  • well I Must Say, This Could Not Be The Only One That He Liked. He Must've Loved All Of Them. But He Is In Heaven Now, But Still. I'm Sure He's Very Proud Of You.

  • It was his favorite. He also liked the E6 Atlantic type. Pennsy stuff.

  • i to like th E6 atlantic type! By the way, the K4 and the E6 were bulit almost the same!

  • The K4 was mainly a bigger & more powerful E6. Sorry for the late reply, I was in CO for a week.

  • thats ok. by the way, why were you in CO for a week?

  • Vacation.

  • how was it

  • Amazing.

  • Which series of train simulator is this?

  • Microsoft.

  • i miss the golden age of trains! i wish i would of got to seen those trains of the 30s,40s, and 50s!

  • Yes, me too!

  • my grandpa got to see the prr,k4s ,and outher trains of tht era!

  • Great.

  • i wish i saw them with him!

  • Let you grandpa rest in peace.

And it's so sad that they replaced the legends of the tracks

  • Thanks! It is a shame.

  • This song is so beautiful that it makes me cry. And it´s all terrible that most of the real train engines are dead, replaced by diesels and electronics... May your grandpa Rest in Peace.

And the 4-6-2 PRR K4 Pacific is nice.

  • Thanks! The K4 was his favorite engine. They need to bring 1361 back! May they both (Grandfather & K4 class, except 1361) rest in peace.

  • Ya´re welcome. Yeah, they should.

    Aye.

  • Thanks!

  • Ya´re welcome, lad.

  • I cant figure out how to install locos into MSTS can someone help me!!!!

  • That depends, some have an auto-installer, but most you have to put in the TRAINSET folder, then add them into a consist using ConBuilder or the MSTS Activity editor.

  • Is it possible to download the auto installer?

  • No, you can't download an auto-installer for every piece of content ever created. Some have it, like the K4 in this video, but some don't, like the coaches.

  • What is the Rio Grande Train Called?

  • Ski Train.

  • ThankS!

  • No Problem.

  • I am sad that the PRR is dead!

  • Indeed.

  • also, you know Dale Earnhardt Sr., he died on the last lap of the 2001 DAYTONA 500. he was like elvis to nascar!

  • Yes, I know.

  • did you see his crash? live and/or replay?

  • I saw it with my mom on TV (while the race was going on), she likes NASCAR.

  • It's hard, I know. He is in a better place (hopefully where the K4's will be running forever).

  • i hope the K4's live forever in hevan!

  • Lets hope so!

  • Agreed!

  • Indeed!

  • my grandfather passed away on may 17th, 2006. cool vid!

  • Sorry about that. Thanks.

  • your wecome! by the way, what did your grandfather die from? my died from lung cancer.

  • Natural causes.

  • Cool.

  • I know how you feel man.

I would devastated if my grandfather passed away.

But don't worry youl'll see him again some day. I know it.

Besides hearing this song makes me think of what me and my grandad would do if we lived in the time of the iron horse.

  • Thanks!

My dad said, "When he was a kid, Uncle Ed would take him to the tracks to watch a train go by. But that was the 60's. -Brandon
