this show remains super special to me. a classic, comedic, nostalgic, animated treat. i remember watching this with my cousins and brother years years back, and laughing my ass off to animation flaws and quotes. the music brings back some great memories.
Thanks for posting this RRH ... It's too bad they never put this "lost" ep on either of the DVD sets. Hopefully, a future set will amend this, and hopefully they will try to remaster the cartoon in some way. This was a truly great cartoon. Sure the animation was somewhat limited at times (and other times it was very, very good) but the show more than made up for it in charm, good scripts, great dialogue, and awesome acting. Bakshi had a way of ruining things though. Season 3 was hideously awful.
@Brunhildemaster: The coppy they had was to badly damaged. I think "RocketRobinHood" should put this on a disc and send it to Rhino so they can release it as a bonus in one of the DVD sets.
Well, it's not exactly good quality in terms of DVD quality.
And I will gladly send the people at Centaur any source material I can get my hands on (for absolutely nothing) if they would like to use it to get the episode onto the next DVD Volume.
I forsee a similar problem in the case of the episode "The Emperor Jimmy", since I don't think it was ever part of the Teletoon re-broadcast that took place a couple of years ago. The copy I have of that is horrible.
(It looks like to transfer it from actual film to digital tape they projected it onto a screen and re-filmed it with a video camera, but there was something reflecting onto the screen which makes two brighter spots in the image.)

It might be something to do with the French version of the episode....I've read where they have had problems with quality for some eps.

I feel cheated now that I bought the DVD collection.

You would think they could remaster them like they did with the original Star Trek

That pretty awesome of you to offer. Have you tried getting in touch with them?

No, not at this time.
