It also strengthens the idea that "anything" is up for grabs if they want it, especially smaller animals. For those that think this is good for intruders, pit bulls actually make bad guard dogs. Pit bulls were bread to be people friendly, animal aggressive. A well socialized bull has little "game"
actually tug o war is perfectly fine for pits, what they say is that when playing tug o war with your pitbull or any dominant breed you shouldn't let them win, because when they win they understand it as being more dominant over you, which can lead to behavioral problems. i played tug o war with my amstaff pitbull when he was a pup, i just wouldn't let him win. now if he does win (because he's so damn strong!) he knows to drop the toy and wait for me to claim it. do your research.
Those dogs are beautiful and very well taken care of as you could see in the video. I also have a blue nose pitbull and I take pride in keeping her very well taken care of and fyi fish oil in their food is very good for their coats. boiled egg also helps.I give my dog both and the vet said that is good for her.

I think that may only be for humans playing tug of war with dogs. Someone told me that instead of yanking the rope side to side, it's better to yank it up and down. I don't know if it works or not though.

I can become confused about the relationship. Study behaviorism, animal behaviorism and training or ask a trainer.

I do it with my Border Collie and German shepherd to get their adrenaline going and get them motivated and excited to work. Dangerous? Please.

@camilee7 Did you notice the part where I noted that it is especially true while training? Any dog, regardless of the breed can become problematic if it learns that it can be the boss and/or gain some power over you. However, a bossy poodle will not likely be much of an issue. other breeds however, can prove quite problematic if you allow such (Especially during training). I can become confused about the relationship. Study behaviorism, animal behaviorism and training or ask a trainer.

The big guy with the white stripe on his head is 3 years and the mother is 3 and a half years,and the slim bitch is 2 in august.
