it was good 2 years ago after you paid extras like an internet broswer, a wall charger, a docking station but the battery last 1 hour on full charge and the wifi support is the old technology, the only good thing is the screen size and picture quality thats when the batterys not flat

Hi, I have an Archos 605 80gb and i have problem when I do the refresh of the arclibrary after I created a Playlist, and i go in "music","playlist" there are no playlists! why? then, if i browse the files i can see the playlists, but i don't choose any song, because when i click the playlist, it starts with the first song in it. You don't need to convert dvds I worked out how to connect it to my dvd player using the gen station and now just copy dvd straight onto the archos. I can also record from sky its briliant!!

an easier way is to download dvd decrypter,install on your pc decrypt the dvd into vob files straight to your connected archos, either select the the full dvd or just the movie and hey presto, all told about fifteen min. just trying now to make sure

yeah works a treat , i have the cinema plug in though, you may wanna get it as you will have all the audio tracks in AC3 and you need this plug in, to do it the way you want just connect the in section on the dvr station to the dvd player,play the dvd , press recorder on the archos, instead of tv program guide select video recorder, then press ok. now you are recording the dvd press x to stop. hope these help.

you connect it to the computer using their special USB cable, or if you also bought the DVR dock station you plug it into the wall outlet and then put the 605 player on it (with the DVR station it charges a lot faster).

30 dollars for the web browser application. you need to have an internet connection or use someone elses. coffeshop, your own, airport. as long as you got the browser and a connection then youre set.
