The thing people do not understand about umbrella goverment, or umbrella economy and such, is that when you try to tie so much to gether with one cord, you increase the potential for catastrophic cascading failure. Think about how reliant the world is on GPS or other satilite technology. Now imagine a crisis that makes it difficult or impossible to replace satiltes (or they get shot down) for just a couple of years, the whole world system would unravel. Same idea applies to a one world gov.
