I feel for you m2jp. It happens all the time when cycling. Bicycles are vehicles in the US 95% of all bike accidents are cause by automobiles hitting them. Cutting them off, not looking and not viewing them as a legitmate vehicle. People these days are lazy and in a hurry to get nowhere.

I ride my bike as much as others ride their cars. I bet I have no more trouble with other cars, than other cars have with other cars.

How would feel you when a car cuts into your path, just to be in front of you at the next lights, and in doing so nearly hits you, but does not because so swerve out of the way.

Under Australian law in every state, and in law in most counties, the following is written, a bicyle is a vehicle and has the same rights and responsibilities as any other vehicle. The law also states that a vehicle turning right should turn from the right hand lane, now he was going to turn right, what lane should he turn from, the left. for those of sub-intelligence (bleky, batman) - the middle of the road is often the safest part of the road for a cyclist. bikes attract the same legal rights as a car, but often not the full respect. when drivers learn how to drive with non-car vehicles then it will be a more enjoyable experience for all.

most of us pay rego but don't take our car out to fill the roads with more traffic each and every day.

Roads are not paid for by rego, but general taxation and I paid plenty. Roads were original designed for horses and carts, then were paved for bicycles.

We some dickhead nearly kills me to order to be 1.5m closer to a red right, I do feel a bit chippy.

Your numbers are not right. Find that a car traveling at 30km/h would require at least 3x the space a bicycle doing the same. So your 10 million cars would cause the same congestion as 30 million cycles, but the difference the 30 million cyclist would not be working themselves into a rage.

Excuse me. Where should I be approaching a red light to turn right? I was in the middle for the second lane. The first lane was free for anyone going straight.  As the light was red, the difference with me on the road for anyone turning right would be about 1.5m.
