There are Gypsies and then you have pikies, a proper true blood born and bred romany gypsy would not do something like this!!! I have worked with gypsies, they are good people... pay taxes, insurance etc but pikies on the other hand couldn't give a toss what they do and throw rubbish all over the place and cause mayhem wherever they go.

We've had gypsies stay near us on two occasions. The first they tried to steal our caravan - twice, and the second they came and broke into our caravan instead causing hundreds of pounds of damage. Why do they think this is acceptable? What have I ever done to them? For those of us that own a caravan will know, it's a big investment and it's your pride and joy. And gypsies go around the country stealing them to order! It's about time something was done about it...

Proper Gypsy's do not go round doing things like this, it's ya pikeys that do it, ya know the ones that go round odd jobbin, then dump all the rubbish behind their caravan, so when they get moved on you see a huge pile of trees and guttering and all kinds, They also drive round without tax and insurance etc, and the police wont touch them..

The fact is that they came to the door, to make sure no-one was at home; if someone had been, they would have offered to tarmac the drive and gone away when turned down.

caravans...they are just funny! even when theyve been stolen! i mean think about - so your caravans stolen...yeah its bad...but your alive right? they didnt storm your house, threaten you with knives, then steal it - they even had the liberty to check if anyone was in the house - they prob woulda left if there was and made some random excuse - no one got hurt - so im LOL'lling away!

I echo this message. I can think of friends of ours who had their caravan stolen 2 days before their main summer holiday. The sadness of their two young children who were so excited to be going away, only for it to be wrecked by the theft is something I won't forget.
